The hustle and bustle of the city was at its peak as the day approached noon. The streets were packed with people going on their own businesses. Along the busy streets of Plymouth city, there was a popular quaint corner pub. There were few people scattered in the pub having lunch and talking in hushed voice. The bartender/barkeep was wiping down the counter, while the casier was close to dozing off. There were two barman and barmaid serving the customers. There was a door beside the bar that led to the kitchen section of the pub. The kitchen was empty save for one person absentmindedly looking out of the only window in the small room. Eloisa woke up panting. She was sweating profusely like she had ran a marathon. Her eyes were still unfocused. She rubbed a hand over her face. Waking up from nightmare was not unusual for her. After that traumatic day, there had not been a single night that she did not have that nightmare. The first few nights she would wake up screaming at the top of her lung, waking up her mother and brother in the process. And sometimes a few neighbors too. After one month passed, she learned to contain her screams. She told everyone that she did not have anymore nightmares. At first, her family did not believe her. But when she started acting like everything was normal, they started to believe that she was fine. But nothing was fine. Though her family did not need to know that. They were already dealing with their own pains. They did not need to worry about her. She still shivered when she thought back to that day. 10th August 2019. That was the day when the tragedy of her life happened

Yonnah Mullins, had always been reserved than other women in her neighbourhood. It was not that she preferred to talk less. It was just always worried too much about everything to think about something else. She had always been a worrywort. So she did not spend time with women gossiping when she could not contribute anything in the conversation. She had never shown her anxiety too much having aware of it from childhood. After marriage, she would always worry about her husband. When he would be back from work? Did he eat lunch? Was is he late? Was he healthy enough? After she had Eloisa, she started worrying about her daughter. And then about Ethan. Most of her life was spent worrying. She knew she had nothing to worry about but it had become a habit of hers. Always worrying and fretting. It was not like that she worried for no reason. Her husband, Edan Mullins, works in a shipping business. It was a risky profession considering where they lived. Her mother's incapability of working put double pressure on Eloisa. She worked overtime everyday but the money was not enough. At one point, she thought of asking Uncle Alex for extra money they needed to pay the loan sharks this month. But unfortunately for her, Uncle Alex went to his hometown, he was not a native here, to settle some problems with his family property he had there. He would stay there for two weeks. In the meantime, he gave Eloisa to take care of the pub as she was capable enough to do that. It seemed to her that every unfortunate thing was happening to her. Her mother's sudden accident coupled with handling the pub all by herself and upcoming date to pay loan were taking a toll on her. But she was not even within the mindset to pause for a moment and take a break from everything. Her time was running as she ran along with it. There was no time to pause. No time to contemplate.
