Finishing the dinner, the other two got up from their seats to proceed towards the kitchen again to wash the dishes.Giving a hand by holding the dishes Joshua helped Serena from behind who was holding Christopher's half completed meal.Serena leaded towards the sink first before putting on an apron and starting to wash the dirty utensils.Joshua got alerted by the sound of the water."Hey, let me do it!"Joshua offered like a gentleman while shaking her head off Serena politely refused to take his help."You have done enough by making dinner for us all. Let me do it!"Serena replied with a small smile decorated on her feature hinting it would be fine with her.

Her chocolate brown eyes looked around her silent surrounding in judgement without any word. Soon sighing tiredly she massaged her nape drawing her head a little to the side of right.  She was exhausted after cleaning the entire leaving room in a row after making the breakfast and getting done with the kitchen chores.  Though the apartment needed no more modifications for her but yet she refused to do nothing and sit back.  She stubbornly found every little work, wanting to keep herself busy somehow. That is all she had been doing since last few days to be honest.  Acknowledging the fact that her brother-in-law wasn't one person of home, Serena knew he wasn't going to mind her doing nothing at all.

"Get ready at 6 then, I will come and get you." Christopher announced for Serena which caused her to instantly draw a smile on her face.  She never smiled like that in front of him before...  Witnessing her so happy for the very first time like that, Christopher was mesmerised for a minute or two.  He was surprised.  She sure had one jolly smile but it was a lot more different than her polite or formal smile that she always gave him previously.  Even he couldn't believe what he was seeing because since she started living with him, she was never seen such happy before.

Shortly Christopher returned, holding a bouquet of African wild lilies complementing beautifully with white roses and French tulips. Serena couldn't help but stare at the bouquet he was holding. Coordinating well with the event's theme tonight, tulips were a perfect choice to gift a couple.Drawing a satisfactory smile over her features, Serena got the bouquet from Christopher as soon as he approached the vehicle opening the door."African lilies are rare game to find this season, must be expensive brother-in-law." Serena uttered twirling one of the petals of French tulips between her fingers before tracing over the lilies, smelling the bouquet admirably she seemed delighted.
