In the following days, I focused entirely on completing the final touches for the wedding dress. I made adjustments here and there until I finally achieved the design I had envisioned.

I immediately contacted the client via email and waited for her response.

The weather outside was beautiful, and I felt a sudden urge to go for a walk.

Downstairs, there was a garden that Sebastian had people redesign after we got married. It was filled with rows of roses. Occasionally, I would plant some vegetables in the remaining plots.

The roses were vibrant and lush since they were carefully tended to. I walked into the small patch of cabbage at the back, where the plants were thriving perfectly.

Why hasn't your memory returned? Is it because you don't want it to, or is there some other reason? But none of this really matters now..." She hesitated briefly. "Ms. Sinclair, surely you haven't forgotten the face of the love of your life, right?"I looked up in shock, and my eyes were filled with disbelief. My nose stung. A sudden wave of sadness overwhelmed me as Sebastian's large hand rested on my head. I struggled to keep my voice steady. "Alright, I'll go to the room first. Don't take too long."I returned to the bedroom and sat on the bed, staring at the blackness outside the window. A hollow ache gnawed at my chest, as though something vital was missing. The sensation was unsettlingly familiar. I felt like I'd lost something precious, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember.Leaning against the headboard, I fixed my gaze on the door, lost in thought.Just then, a soft click pulled me from my daze. Sebastian's face appeared in front of me. I smiled at him and gently pulled him to sit on the bed with me.Under the dim light, his eyes, partially hidden by his hair, were unreadable. He let me pull him onto the bed without protest.I gently pushed him down, and he lay propped on one arm. My fingers moved to undo the buttons on his pajamas. When I reached the third butto

I handed my husband, Sebastian Lockwood, his pajamas and said, "Maybe you should go for a checkup tomorrow. I've been taking the medicine, but it doesn't seem to be working. The doctor warned me that if I keep taking it, my health's only going to get worse."Sebastian frowned at that. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but no words followed. He always seemed especially irritable when it came to this topic.Sitting beside him, I wrapped my arms around his waist and spoke gently, "Seb, we've been trying to have a baby for so long. You know how much I've always wanted one, but I—"Before I could finish, Sebastian took my hand. He let out a sigh and said with a hint of reluctance, "Fine. Whatever you want."I knew he couldn't resist me when I acted like this. Tightening my arms around his waist, I rested my head on his shoulder and brushed my cheek against him like a kitten seeking comfort. His body stiffened for a moment at my touch.Puzzled, I glanced up at him.Sebastian reache

I decided to just shake that thought off. I grabbed the cup of soy milk and sandwich and headed into the study to get back to my unfinished designs.I was a designer and worked on high-end projects in a variety of styles, so my workload was always steady. Sometimes, I also gave suggestions for designs at Sebastian's company. The project at hand was a wedding dress—though an unusual one, as it was to be black. The client wanted something bold and vibrant, with a youthful feel. After receiving the request, I spent a long time thinking. Only then did I start sketching out rough concepts. I went through a few drafts, but I ended up rejecting them all.The client was strange, too. She only communicated via email and refused to accept messages. Even when she did reply to my email, it would take forever.Suddenly, a spark of inspiration hit me. I quickly grabbed a pen and began sketching the design. It would be an A-line dress with a v-neck to highlight the neckline and collarbones, whi

Sebastian had grown up in a single-parent household. His father, Edward Lockwood, was often away on business, so he had lived with his grandparents. As one of the few children away from their parents in our class, both he and I were often subjected to judgment from others. However, Sebastian's situation was far better than mine. Edward ran a successful business in another city and sent money home regularly. Sebastian went from being looked down upon to receiving flattery from everyone. He would even look out for me occasionally. But now, I had no family left. I muttered, "Put me down... Just leave me alone..."While carrying me, Sebastian gritted his teeth and said, "Don't say that, Juliette Sinclair. From now on, I'm your family."I chuckled bitterly and rested my head on his shoulder, slowly losing consciousness. When I came to my senses, I slowly opened my eyes. I had actually fallen asleep again.Still drowsy, I glanced around the room. I noticed Sebastian sitting on the cou

How did I end up in the hospital?"Frowning, Sebastian replied in displeasure, "A while after you went into the bathroom yesterday, I heard some noise from inside. When I went in, I found you collapsed on the floor."I froze at his words. I recalled the piercing headache I had while showering yesterday before I lost consciousness. I hadn't realized I'd passed out for a whole day.Seeing Sebastian's angry and frustrated expression, I felt a pang of guilt.I squeezed his hand and tried to comfort him, saying, "I'm fine now, see? And I have you here with me."But Sebastian's expression darkened. He placed my hand under the covers and tucked the blanket tightly around me. Gazing out the window, he muttered, "I'm here with you…"I didn't fully understand his words, but I could tell he was feeling down. Smiling, I said,
