Chapter 7

I woke up to find myself in the hospital. Lying in bed, I saw Clifford by my bedside.

He teared up and hugged me. "Holly, you're finally awake! I will never threaten you with divorce or argue with you again! I will not use Marie to hurt you. Let's get along well!"

He handled the paperwork after I was discharged and brought me home. It finally dawned on me that I had been reborn. I traveled back to the day I threatened a divorce if he refused to stay away from Marie.

In our past life, Clifford chose divorce so that he could be with Marie. Angered and saddened, I suffered a heart attack from emotional turmoil.

Clifford ignored me because he thought I was faking it. He met with Marie to celebrate her birthday instead.

Left to my own devices, I took some pills and called 911. I endured the pain until the medical staff showed up. Then, I fainted.
