Tristan met her gaze, doing his best to maintain his composure.

"I'm fine, Lucy. It's just been a long day. I'll sort things out with Cora, don't worry."He stated .

Lucy seemed unconvinced, but she let the matter drop for now. She couldn't shake off the feeling that he was hiding something from her, but she didn't want to push him too hard. She knew he was a skilled and capable member of their pack, and she respected his privacy.

Soon enough,he quickly changed the subject, asking Lucy about the latest pack updates and distracting her from her questions. He knew he had to be careful and keep up his charade to avoid arousing suspicion. He listened to Lucy talk about the pack's activities, making sure to engage in the conversation and keep up appearances.

After a while, she excused herself, leaving him alone in his room. He let out a deep breath, feeling the weight of his secret mission pressing down on him. He knew that keeping secrets from his pack mates, especially Cora, was risky,
