EMMA
I wake up in Elijah's arms, and last night was as steamy as ever. Each night, our passion grows, and it feels like our love blooms more each day, like a fresh flower. This is what drives me to do all the wrong things, just to experience more of his love.
I carefully get out of bed, not wanting to disturb him, and prepare for my clinical duties. I don’t think Joanna will be coming in today, considering her husband passed away yesterday. I slip into a simple black shirt and white trousers. Elijah is still sleeping, and I don't blame him. He trains every day to protect this pack from all threats.
It's only 6 AM, and I need to hurry. I lean down to kiss Elijah on the forehead. He stirs a little in his sleep, but I don't want to wake him, so I quietly leave.
When I arrive at the pack clinic, I’m surprised to see Joanna there.
"Hey," I say, surprised.
"Don’t look so surprised. My husband is dead, and I’m still grieving, but as a doctor, it’s my responsibility to care for the pack members," she says. I’m impressed by her strength.
With her assistance, I know I’ll learn a lot. It doesn’t take long before injured pack members begin arriving, and before I know it, I’ve spent the whole day cleaning wounds and providing care. There was no time for lunch. Joanna left me alone to look after her kids, and here I am, reading through medicine labels and checking expiration dates.
Just as I’m about to close up the clinic, Mason walks in with a bloody hand.
“How did this happen?” I ask him, guiding him to sit in a chair while I examine his wound.
“We captured a territory from another pack today,” he says. “Things got a little out of hand.”
I clean the wound, noting its depth. "It looks deep, but why can’t you heal yourself like Elijah does?"
He sighs. “Alpha has special powers. Now that he’s mated with Luna, his powers are doubled, so he can heal himself easily. But we’re not as lucky as him. He’s the most powerful one.”
That makes sense to me now. I finish treating Mason's wound, but he continues staring at me in a way that feels... off.
"Is something wrong, Mason?" I ask, feeling awkward under his gaze.
“No, I’m just admiring how beautiful you are,” he says with a smile. “This lab coat looks great on you.”
His compliment doesn’t feel creepy, but something about the situation is still making me uneasy.
“Do you mind if I ask you out… as friends?” he asks sincerely.
I pause, conflicted. How can I forget that he tried to hurt me? And Elijah would never forgive me if he found out about this.
“I’m sorry, Mason. I appreciate you being normal and friendly, but we both know you tried to… hurt me. I’ve forgiven you, but nothing between us is normal,” I say, and I can see the guilt in his eyes.
“I never wanted to hurt you,” he says. “But it was Alpha who wanted it.”
My eyes widen. What? Elijah would never do such a thing to me. He loves me.
“I don’t understand. Please explain,” I say, sitting down beside him. His arm is bandaged, and I want to know the truth. What game is Elijah playing for the sake of love?
“Elijah sent me to… misbehave with you. He told me to mention Carlos’ name, but I didn’t understand at the time. When he came in and rescued you, he made me the villain in front of you. I never understood why he did it, but he's the Alpha, and he doesn't like being questioned.”
A rush of anger bubbles up inside me. Why would Elijah do something like that? Why would he let me think that Mason hurt me? But Mason is telling the truth—he has no reason to lie about this, especially about Elijah.
“Hey, Emma, snap out of it,” Mason’s voice pulls me out of my trance. He gently takes my hand in his, his gaze meeting mine
“I never wished anything bad for you, so please forgive me if I ever hurt you. I was just helpless at the time,” he said to me, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit of pity. He was taking the blame for something that Elijah orchestrated.
“I forgive you,” I replied, “And yes, tell me where you want to take me.”
He smiled at that, and I couldn’t understand why this poor guy had to suffer because of Elijah. I was trying to stay calm, but underneath it all, anger was building inside me.
“Let’s go out and have a proper dinner, like normal people. A date,” he suggested hopefully, but I knew I couldn’t lead him into something I wasn’t ready for.
“I’m ready for a friendly night out,” I said, trying to keep things light.
“Of course, as you say, beautiful,” he responded with a smile.
“You have one hour left to get ready,” he added.
I looked at his arm, still wrapped in a bandage. “Are you sure you want to go out tonight? Your arm looks like it still hurts.”
“My arm’s fine now, thanks to you. And the good news is, the Alpha is out of the pack house, so we have all the time we need. We won’t be interrupted, unlike the last time,” he said. I forced a tight smile, the anger inside me still simmering.
I bid him goodbye, telling him I’d meet him on the porch, and headed back to my room. I threw my pillow across the room in frustration and gripped my hair tightly.
Why did Elijah have to make me feel like that night was going to end in something horrible with Mason? Why did he put me through that?
Have I made a mistake, Elijah? Or did I make the mistake of loving you and trusting you?
I wanted answers, and when I got back, I’d make sure Elijah knew exactly how he’d hurt me. I wanted revenge, and what better way than to go out with Mason? I smirked to myself, imagining how Elijah would react when he found out.
I pulled out my black halter dress, one of my sexiest outfits, covered in sparkles. I got dressed, leaving my hair loose and natural. I didn’t bother with makeup; I knew I looked fine without it. After all, it was just Mason. The dress would be enough to ignite Elijah’s anger.
I grabbed my sling bag and left my room. While texting my dad to check in on him, I collided with Violet. I looked up just in time to avoid her bumping into me, her baby bump the most important thing right now.
“I’m sorry! Are you okay?” I asked, feeling guilty for not paying attention.
“I’m fine,” she replied, but she seemed out of breath, perhaps to calm herself down. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going out with Mason,” I told her, and I could see her eyes twinkle with curiosity.
“Don’t get any ideas,” I added quickly, “It’s just as friends.”
But as I spoke, I noticed that she seemed a bit down. There was something off about her demeanor. As I looked closer, I saw a mark on her neck—a hickey. So, Elijah had spent the night with her. Part of me had already accepted this, but it didn’t make it easier to swallow.
“I think I should get going,” I said, not wanting to dive into any more details about her night with Elijah. The thought of us both being involved with the same man made me feel sick.
I made my way to the porch, where Mason was standing in a green satin shirt and black pants. He looked handsome, but not quite like Elijah. That bastard still had a lot of explaining to do.
As I approached, I noticed Mason was holding a bouquet of flowers.
"This is for you," he said, handing me a bouquet of red flowers. I was genuinely impressed by his manners, especially when I compared him to Elijah, who seems to only care about one thing—sex.
"Thank you so much. I'm really touched," I replied, linking my arm with his. We climbed into his sleek black Bugatti, and as he drove with such skill, I couldn’t help but admire him even more. This man was a complete package. If I had met him earlier, I might have fallen for him and freed myself from all the complications in my life.
But my fate seemed tied to Elijah, and the love I had for him was something I couldn’t escape.
Mason and I arrived at a beautiful location... it is the cozy cafe at the outskirts of the city and so beautiful.
I looked everyting in awe and asked him "this is so beautiful and how the hell did you find this beautiful place.
Mason took a step foward to me and making me nervous by coming close to me. He put his index finger under my chin and said "I don't think this cafe is as beautiful as you"
Mason has something innocent in his eyes and that made me realise
Shit i did a mistake!
EMMAMason and I sat across from each other, quietly having our meal when he suddenly spoke, his voice tinged with amusement."You know, Emma," he said, tilting his head slightly, "I've been sitting here for the past hour trying to decide something very important."I looked up, my brows knitting together. "What?"Mason reached across the table, placing his hand over mine, his gaze turning soft. "I've been alone for a long time, and I think... I need a partner. Someone who understands me, who loves me through thick and thin."A lump formed in my throat as an awkward tension settled between us. His fingers lightly massaged my palm, his hopeful eyes searching mine. But I couldn’t do this—I couldn’t play with his feelings.I quickly jerked my hand away and pushed back my chair. "I—I need to go home," I said, my voice uneven.Without waiting for his reaction, I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the café, my heart pounding. Slipping down to the floor, I whispered, "Why, Moon Goddess, are you doing this to me? The man I love doesn’t trust me, but here I am—still so stupidly in love with him."After few minutes, I walked out of the bathroom, not sparing him a glance. Everything was clean and pristine—Lily had done a good job, removing the blood stains and shattered glass. I slipped out of my bathrobe and into a long shirt, feeling exposed but somehow free.My gaze landed on Elijah, standing across the room, watching me. EMMAAs time passed, everything seemed to fall into place. Elijah and I grew closer, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was keeping a close watch on us—though I had no idea who. Elijah and I were out on the outskirts of the pack, lying naked on the ground. My head rested on his lap as he ran his hand through my brown locks. He looked down at me, his voice soft. "Why do you look so upset, babe?"Elijah pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead, and I sighed, my voice barely a whisper. "I love you, Elijah, but I'm afraid. What if Violet finds out about us someday?"Elijah chuckled lightly, brushing the thought aside. "Don't worry about her. She’ll never know. And honestly, you don’t need to worry about anyone else. Just focus on me." With that, he kissed me softly on the lips, his hand slowly trailing over my body.I knew this was wrong, but I couldn’t stop. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. ELIJAH"Violet, please don’t do this. Come back!" I pleaded with the woman standing at the edge of the terrace, her body heavy with my unborn child."Elijah, you don’t love me. I can’t stay with a man who doesn’t love me," she replied, tears streaming down her face. It’s true—I never loved her the way she deserved. But I tried. I gave her everything I could. And now, with my child growing inside her, I can’t let her go."We can fix this, Violet. Please, come back. Don’t make a reckless decision. You’re carrying a child—our child. Don’t become your baby’s murderer," I urged her, my heart pounding with fear. The possibility of losing everything consumed me. I inched closer, desperate to pull her back, but she stopped me with a sharp command."One more step, and I’ll jump," she threatened, her voice laced with pain."Don’t you dare shift into your wolf form," she warned, noticing the shift in my eyes. I knew shifting would give me the speed to save her, but her words paralyzed me. One wr
ELIJAHIt all happened because I couldn’t control my heart from falling for Emma.I am the cursed Alpha. I have a mate, but I’ve never felt a connection to her. I tried to give Violet every happiness, to love her even, but my heart betrayed me the moment I saw Emma for the first time.Emma’s beauty isn’t just in her fair complexion or her long, straight hair. It’s her innocence that captivated me. Violet, on the other hand, is wild and fierce, the kind of woman who could make any man fall to his knees. But, unfortunately, I’ve never felt anything for her.I first met Violet at my club, Fire Club. That night, she looked stunning in a golden dress, and my wolf growled, signaling she was my mate. Every man in the club eyed her, as expected for a woman like her. But she was mine—my destiny. That night, I claimed her. We shared a passionate connection, and she realized I was her mate. ELIJAH"Don’t you dare say anything about Emma," I warned Mason, my voice trembling with suppressed rage. I was losing control. Emma was my love, my everything, and I couldn’t stand to hear her being disrespected.“Are you going to take my life, Alpha, like you took the life of your pup for that... whore?” Mason spat, and a storm of guilt and anger surged through me, blinding my thoughts. His words pushed me over the edge.I grabbed his collar and yanked him toward me, my fist connecting with his face in one swift, brutal punch. Blood dripped from his nose, but he didn’t stop.“Are you going to destroy the entire family for her? Kill us all for that woman?” he provoked, his words like daggers. The beast inside me broke free. I struck him again, harder this time, my fury spilling over.“She’s taken away Luna’s happiness, and you stand here defending her?” Mason growled, clutching his stomach. “It’s your fault! Because of you, Luna is lying there, broken. And you—”“That’s ENOUGH!” I ro
EMMABecause of me, my sister attempted suicide. Because of me, her unborn pup is gone. I am the reason for everyone's misery.I am the wrecker—the one who destroyed lives. Why did I have to fall for my sister's husband and mate? I’ve made everyone’s lives unbearable. The pain in Violet’s eyes when she jumped from the terrace will haunt me forever. Those eyes accused me of loving the wrong man.“The Luna is stable now. She’ll wake in a few hours,” the doctor said, pulling me out of my thoughts. I lifted my head to look at him, but his words felt hollow. If only they knew I’m the reason their Luna almost died, they would despise me. The entire pack would turn against me if they realized I was the cause of this near-tragedy.Violet lay on the stark white bed before me, her face pale and lifeless. Her once-rounded baby bump was gone, replaced with emptiness. When she wakes, she will curse me for the loss of her pup. I’m so sorry, Violet, but I couldn’t stop my heart from loving Elijah. H

He looked at the Alpha's shirt in my hand with disgust. His disgust won't change my love for Elijah."Are you sure it's the Alpha who's been destroyed?" I asked, my voice tinged with hurt. He glared at me, his anger palpable."You’re an idiot. I’m the one who’s lost everything. I lost my sister's trust, her love... while Elijah still has everything—his wife, his pack. In time, he’ll have a child of his own, and Violet will start trusting him again. But what do I have?" he asked, his voice full of pain.Everyone sees me as a home-wrecker, but no one understands my agony. I didn’t choose to fall in love with the wrong man, but how can you stop your heart from falling? EMMAAfter strolling around the garden with Mason, I entered the pack house and froze. Derrick’s lifeless body lay on the floor, and Joanna was crying over him. Elijah and Violet were standing by, comforting the pack members."Today, we’ve lost one of our soldiers, but we must fight our emotions," Elijah announced in his authoritative tone. Violet stood by him, embodying her role as Luna."What the hell happened to him? We weren’t at war, and no one should be able to enter the pack house," Mason whispered to himself, but I caught his words."What do you mean?" I asked him, my curiosity piqued."Look at his chest," he said, nodding toward Derrick’s body. "His heart’s been removed, and this is the signature of Alpha Elijah when he kills an enemy. But why would he do this to his own pack member?" Mason’s words struck me. I realized Elijah had killed his father the same way, but why would he kill his own?"How can you be so sure?" I asked, trying to process the information."Alpha trained

She had a point, but I wasn’t thinking about leaving for my dad’s place. My place is with Elijah, and I wasn’t willing to leave him. Dad could manage without me, but I couldn’t manage without Elijah."Sweetheart, Violet, do you forget that I’m the Alpha of this pack? The final decision is mine, and no one can argue with that," Elijah said, flashing a tight smile, almost mocking her. Violet fell silent because she knew exactly what it meant to go against Elijah.Elijah is a force to be reckoned with when he's not with me. He’s never shown his love for anyone else, and I can’t exactly argue with him in front of all the pack members."Alpha, are you going to send her to the brothel in our pack house to fulfill the needs of our pack members?" one of them suggested, and the room fell into complete silence.
EMMAHe pulled me up onto his chest, and we looked into each other's eyes for a long moment."Do you know how much power you have over me?" Elijah asked, his voice low, and I chuckled softly."Trust me, I know. And that’s exactly why I can convince you to do things you don’t want to do," I replied, placing a gentle kiss on his chest.“Elijah, I’ve been thinking... does Violet give you more satisfaction than I do?” I asked hesitantly, unsure of his response. He made a confused face at me.“When you left, I only slept with her once. It was just to get her pregnant. But since you’ve come back, I haven’t had the desire to touch her. There’s a big difference between sex and making love,” he said, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The pang of jealousy inside me melted away."I have no interest in her. I want only you. And this is the last time I’m answering to your insecurities. After this, I won’t entertain any more of your questions. Don’t ever doubt me again," he said, pinching m
EMMA“Shut the fuck up, Violet. I don’t want to hear any nonsense while we’re eating. Don’t ask questions that have no relevance,” Elijah’s deadly voice cut through the tension, and Violet immediately fell silent. I felt a sense of relief. Her presence had been stirring up all the horrible memories of what I had been through.I glanced at Elijah’s hand, noticing the bruise was slowly fading, thanks to his wolf powers. I really needed to learn how to do that. The rest of the breakfast was consumed in silence, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of Mason’s eyes on me. He was watching my every move.I was afraid of him, but I knew he wouldn’t dare do anything to me, not with Elijah here. He’d be chopped to pieces if he even thought about it.“I need you in my office, Violet,” Elijah said as he stood from the table. Violet and Mason left, and I headed to my room. You can’t find the same Emma you once loved,” I said, my voice filled with frustration. I was angry at myself, angry at my fate for putting me through so much pain. This was never what I wanted in life, but here I was, struggling to face it.He pulled away from the hug, gazing directly into my tear-filled eyes. “I love you. And every time I touch you, I feel alive. I feel like I have a reason to live again. Maybe your body is no longer pure, but it’s never been your body I’ve craved. It’s your soul.
