"One kiss?"
"No kiss Ronnie" I hissed.
"Why not?" Ronnie whined
"Do you listen to yourself sometimes? I just spent a day with her and your fussing over it. In fact, it was just during lunch" I am so irritated. We have been talking about the same thing for almost an hour now. How does she always find a way to change and exaggerate things?
"Sorry" she said. I looked back at her and she bit her bottom lip. She dropped her head and started playing with her fingers.
"Its fine" I sigh. She looks back at me with a weak smile. "You are a hand full but I still love you" I say giving her my goofiest smile.
She gave me a tight squeeze and whispered "I love you to Panny" I couldn't help but smile.
"Whose idea was it to watch a horror movie?" Mr Miller asked.
"It was mine" Ronnie's response was muffled due to the fact that she had a pillow covering her face. I tried to move the pillow away but she had a tight grip on it.
"So why did you decide to put a horror movie when you aren't going to watch it?"
"Well dad, there is nothing else to watch in this house. Maybe if you let me go out I could do something I can actually enjoy." Ronnie shot back.
" Ronnie" he sighed, "we've talked about this, you know you can't go out for a while. I know this is hard for you but it's for your own good."
"Hey" I said, "when the time is right I'll take you to all your favourite places, okay?" She looked at me and smiled then she hugged me tight and laid her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes
"Sometimes I feel like she likes you more than me" Mr Miller complained I just grinned widely.
Ronnie's POV
The sun rays hit the side of my face. I groaned and tried to cover my face with my blankie but I couldn't feel it. Wait a minute, I'm completely uncovered! I opened one eye to survey my surrounding and was met with a quiet chuckle
"Dad? What are you doing here?" I whined
"I came to wake you up?" He said happily
"Why so early" I groaned "It's not like I have school anyway" I turned and faced the other way.
"Actually, you do-" I cut him off
I basically jumped of the bed and glared at him, "what did you say?"
"Whoa, you don't have to be that scary" he chuckled
"Don't mess with me man, you know what I'm capable of" I warned.
"You're capable of nothing. You can't even hurt a fly" he mocked me.
"Aghh" I sighed
"Nothing to say huh? Your old man is getting better at this comeback stuff" he smirked
"No dad, you're so bad I don't even want to waste another word on you" I said laughing. He put his hand over his heart as if he was hurt but the grin on his face said otherwise.
"Okay cupcake, get ready for school. You don't wanna be late." He said as he walked out of my room.
I was so ecstatic about the whole situation. I run to my bathroom and took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and picked my outfit. I quickly ran down stairs with my bag on my back only to find my dad talking to the doctor.
"Hey baby, all done?" My dad asked with a sad smile. He was scratching the back of his head so it meant something was wrong.
"I guess I'm not going to school" I mumbled. I felt so crushed and miserable. Turning to walk back up the stairs dad called.
"Don't put on that face cupcake. I'm so sorry" he genuinely looked sorry and I knew he felt really bad about me not going.
"It's okay dad. At least you tried" I gave him my best fake smile and walked back to my room. I walked in closed the door behind me. I threw my bag pack in the corner and dived on my bed. I was beginning to feel suffocated in this house and my only excuse to get out didn't want me.
I don't know how long I was lying there when I heard a soft knock at the door. I tried to ignore it but I knew I'd feel guilty afterwards.
"Come in" I said whilst being sandwiched between my blankets.
"Hey cupcake. I just came to check up on you" he said whilst sitting on the bed next to me. "I know you want to get out of here so bad. I know that but your health comes first to me. I love you so much but I can't let you go out without making sure you're okay." He was right. After all it's his job as a father to worry about me. So, I gave him a small smile to let him know I understand.
"I was talking to Andy a few minutes ago, he kept talking about this online class stuff. Does that make sense to you?"
"Dad, I thought you were up to date with these things" I laugh at his silliness.
"Are you up for it kiddo?" He asked.
"I'll think about it" I said smiling back to my caring dad. "Now, get out!" This totally caught him by surprise. "You've done what you needed to so there is no need to prolong this encounter" I said trying to suppress my laughter. He's face was priceless.
When he figured out I was messing with him my dad was so mad he kept a grudge. I laughed so hard watching him walk out the room saying he'll get me back for this. At least I had him to better my days.
Andy's P.O.V"Then you multiply the constant throughout and divided by the denominator. Get it now?""Kinda, so what you're saying is you get this here put it there. Bring this baby down here and add it with my brother over there. Then get the mama bear and make her multiply with the family. Then get the uncle to divide them all. Right?" She asked, more like told me, with a huge grin."Wow....Ehh...yah that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm proud of you" I beamed at her. She has been making good progress with her school work. Her accident caused her to miss out on a lot of school work and it was my job as a best friend to help her catch up."Is there something on my face?" She asked as she touched her face."What?" I asked I confused."Or somebody's falling for my good looks" she joked whilst punching my arm. I just shook my head at her. "Admit it I'm the most b

I tried to quickly cover up my frown with a smile."Oh, please give up the fake look stuff. I know you ain't happy to see me but as usual I'm still happy to see you." I opened my mouth to respond when my mom called."Andy! Who’s at the door?""It’s-" she cut me off and yanked the door open."Sisterrrrr!! I'm herrrrrreeeeeee!!!" She screamed running to were my mom was. She immediately squished my mom in her death grip occasionally lifting her. When she had enough she let go and grinned happily. My mom couldn't help but reciprocate her happiness after all, they are sisters."Danny! When did you get here? Why didn't you tell me you were coming? God! I missed you so much! Did you grow taller? You look amazing by the way." Mom ranted on and on.
Ronnie's POVI felt like I was being kept in a box. Four walls keeping me in and slowly closing in on me. It's been over a month since my release from hospital but here I am still locked up in the house. The doctor said I can go out and all but my dad should still keep an eye on me. He even allowed me to start school next week, Yay! I guess, but for some reason I'm not happy and I don't know why. Who am I kidding? Of course, I know why. It's been more than three weeks since Andy came to visit me. I tried to call him and text to tell him the good news about me getting my freedom back but he never picked up or replied. Every time I tried to text and tried to make conversation he would shan it with either a 'cool' or 'okay' and that's it. I planned so many things we'd do when I'm free again. He also promised to take me out to fun places like we did before but that's not the case. In fact,
"Mom's at Andy's. Why'd you ask?""Nothing really. I just really missed her.""More than me?""Definitely more than you Daniel. That woman is a blessing.""You can say that again" we laughed as we looked at each other with a knowing gaze. Daniel and I talked a lot more after. We talked for what felt like minutes but I knew better. We had been laying there for hours and the conversation was not yet at its climax. Three years’ worth of stories to tell each other."So, how's Jules? You guys going out already?" I asked curiously. "Don't you dare lie cause I know you inside out." I said whilst I poked at his abs which I never noticed before. Damn! These are definitely new and firm. Momma likeyyyy.
Andy's POV The cold wind whisked and whistled past Summer and I as I escorted her home. Danny offered to drive her home but Summer and I both declined. Most of this night was spent with family and Danny's hilarious stories but Summer and I agreed that we needed some alone time together. A smile found its way to my lips when she declined and instead asked me to walk with her. Summers house was about forty-five minutes away giving us enough time to talk and bond. As much as I was excited to finally get some alone time I was freaking out. What if I say something wrong? Or dumb? Or geeky? Or foolish? Or- "You okay?" Summer questioned tearing me from my thoughts. "I'm okay, just a little distracted." I admitted. "Anything I need to worry about? Cause you look really tense" a hint
Ronnie's POVDo you know that feeling of content and utter fullness you feel when something good happens to you? That's the feeling I woke up with. Let me list a couple examples if I lost you. So, maybe you had a crazy dream about a food combination that you want to try but at that particular moment you can't (for various reasons). As if instinct you feel empty and incomplete cause you haven't answered that great calling. The moment you actually do it and it actually tastes amazing you feel something right? You feel something other than happiness, something way better. You feel accomplished and supreme like a businessman making great sales. Eish! Did I just think that? Ughh Dad's getting to me. Another example might help.Let's say you were starving, and craving for something particular and somehow, miraculously the hot plate of yummy goodness finds itself in your grasp. Obviously, you'
Ronnie's p.o.vI was very excited to go outside. It has been over two months since I left the house and even though I love home I really need to leave its premises. It has felt like a prison even though Dad tried to make it better. The fact that it was just the two of us in this big house sorta rubbed in the fact that I was trapped. When dad went out and left me behind I was so sure he'd find me dead or something. I excitedly ran down the stairs, mom's scolding about running were safely locked at the back of my mind. I quickly grabbed my bag and headed out. I was quickly hit by not salty fresh air. It was hot and the sun shined with vigour, blistering and forcefully heating anything it touched. Kinda felt like it was aiming to cook us all alive, but you know what they say.... drip! So, no weather focus will change my fashion choices. I was about to take another step when I saw Peter straight ahead."You’re thinking about your
