Chapter 42

Xavier entered the rock shelter and sat down in pain, leaning on the wall. He has been holding back the pain because he didn't want to alert his wife.

Knowing Jade too well, she'll only overreact.

He picked the container of herbal cream and angrily smashed it on the other wall of the cave.

He forgot to ask her where she got the goddamn cream from.

Did she sell her wedding ring again?

Xavier felt restless and sat up.

What if she never comes back to him?

He was so stupid to just let her go on her own. What if she acts on impulse and decides to run away from him?

He had no idea exactly where they were but he definitely knows what part of the world they where and he didn't tell Jade.

Xavier quickly got up to his feet and grabbed his shirt, ignoring the bleeding wound as he followed her trail.
