Ever since the night Elaine was taken home by Michael, it has been a restless period of time for Drake.
The fact that he messed up his relation with Elaine and could not even go after her had been killing him from inside but there was nothing else he could do about that.
Things got worse the next morning when his boss called out of nowhere demanding to know about his daughter Sophie who had not returned home all night.
There was no information and nothing.
Drake had long been fed up with how Sophie was and was not surprised when she came forward with more problems for him.
“She is not some kid, why making such a big fuss about it.” He had thought this then but she was worse than a kid when he found out what she had been up to.
Cleaning up the mess she made, taking a beating and scolding from Tom Blake; that hateful fat bald man and since Michael also had made some problems for their company he was the one who had to stay up all n
Almost begging he spoke once again with his voice full of emotion. “One chance is all I ask for!” Elaine was silent even after hearing what he had to say. Drake waited for a bit for her reply but upon not getting what he had been waiting for, he knew that he was simply too late. He had already wasted the flowers from his youth and now he was left with nothing. He removed his hands from her shoulder and placed them on his back as he tried to think what was he going to do after this. “Let’s go home, it’s getting late.” Elaine was the first one to speak and break this suffocating silence. She walked past by him, the salty taste of air was somewhat refreshing to her as it whistled past her. Her long and wavy black hair swayed gently in the wind creating a fleeting yet memorable image which disappeared as soon as Drake’s eyes fell on her. Was it really that late? He felt his heart breaking into pieces but there was nothing he
On the other side of the phone, Michael seemed a bit silent after the call. He stared at the phone in his hand feeling a bit bitter. It had been weeks before he finally got the courage to think about Elaine…that vulnerable little bunny. All this time, he had been keeping himself away from her but now, with just a small talk about her, he was back to the old guy who was smitten helplessly with her. ‘So she went out with him?’ He pondered about the guy that he had seen the night when everything fell down from how it was supposed to be. From what he remembered, he knew that the guy was pretty good looking and young. “He must be her type,” he mumbled monotonously, unwilling to admit the sourness that was in his mouth. It was a lie to say that he was not jealous about this. He was sour as heck, but he did not want to admit it. Right now, he is seated at the office of his company. Along with many unsolved paper works and files, there was an old file on his desk. It
Michael looked at the girl he was holding and sighed. Well, he did not really sign up for this thing when he returned home. He made himself comfortable in the seat and placed the injured girl right next to him. He carefully placed her down so as not to harm her injuries. All the while he was worried about it. He placed the seatbelt across her but it seems he touched an injury. The girl flinched a bit. Michael immediately stopped and frowned. He thought for a bit and decided to do something else. He decided to hold her himself till they reached the hospital. It was better than getting the injuries worse. “Kim, let’s go.” He finally said after they were all settled in. The nearest hospital was about 30 minutes ride away. Since it was a rural village in a hilly region, there was lack of good hospital nearby. The only hospital here was a small health post that gave primary treatment for small diseases and injuries. ‘Yes, boss.” Kim nodded his head and stepped on
Unknown to everything that was happening after they had left, Michale and Kim reached the hospital. He immediately jumped out of the car and rushed into the emergency room.Since the case was an emergency one, the group of doctors and nurses directly rushed inside the operating room, taking the injured girl with them. After around one hour, the doctor in charge of taking care of the injured girl came out of the room and met Michael. Since Michael was the one who had brought her in, the doctor only had him to inform and talk about her condition.“Boss,” Kim called him out as he entered the waiting lobby. He had gone out to run an errand for him and had just returned, only to find his boss looking like the world was about to end. Kim shook his head helplessly before walking towards him.“You are back,” Michael said with a slight nod when he saw Kim. “How did he go? He asked Kim who was sitting down on a seat right next to his. “I found someone from the girl’s v
“That girl who came to the party with you,” his grandfather finally spoke after a long silence. Michael did not speak anything either, letting whatever things that were said to him sink into his mind and heart.“What about her?” Michael asked, a bit defensive about it. After knowing the full background story and the girl that he had already forgotten was Elaine, he felt even more strongly towards her. The old man noticed the defensive stance of his grandson and smiled lightly. From what he could see, that girl meant a lot to him. Although he wanted Michale to marry the daughter from the family he chose, after knowing that his grandson loved someone, he was ready to accept it. After all, the main reason he wanted the marriage was to let the family reconcile and have an heir that could lead the Tyrell family in the future. If Michale was happy with someone else, he was also willing to accept her. He had already done so much more to hurt his grandson. The least
“Elaine,” Arkie called out to Elaine as she was collecting her materials. The class had just ended and she was preparing to go home. Hearing her anime being called, she was startled a bit. “Y-yes,” she said after turning around to face Arkie. “Is there anything?” she asked. Her hands subconsciously took hold of her water bottle. It was the response her body had created after what happened to her before. She was always on guard even with her friends. Arkie too noticed this strange change in her and was a bit worried. He wanted to talk about it but decided it was rude to try to be a busy body. Poking his nose into her business did not seem like the right choice. “I…” he paused a bit before deciding to change his question. “Are you okay?” he asked after thinking for a while. Elaine forced a smile upon hearing his question. Not good, I am acting too suspicious right now. Elaine reprimanded herself for acting like this. Even though she had already
Elaine remained silent as she tried to process what she just heard.“S-sir, you mean that I am not allowed to research on this?” she asked, feeling a bit skeptical about this.“Yes, it is a confidential and closed file,” Professor smith started to explain. “ And you know the rule under the provision of criminology… one is not allowed to tamper with a case that has been sealed by the minority itself.” He raised his eyebrows as he stared at Elaine. He was waiting for her response. “Sir, but this is only a small accident, isn't it?” She looked at him after gathering all the courage she could find within her. She was not going to back down. The main reason she had joined this university and left the village was to become a criminal investigator to find out the real truth behind her parent's death. After the accident 2 yeast ago, she had thought about the accident a lot. After all that thinking she came to a conclusion. Her parents were not simple pe
“Boss, we have arrived,” Kim said as he stepped on the break. The car stopped just a few meters away from the main gate of the university. Michael, who was going through important stuff on his tablet, turned off the device when he heard Kim's voice. Keeping aside the tablet, Michael sighed. Although he decided to visit Elaine after running away from her without giving any information, he was nowhere. He had made up his mind but now that 5hee time had come, he had no idea what he should do. What if Elaine did not want to meet him? What if she was still angry at him? What is she did not talk to him? Many questions of what-ifs ran inside his mind in that short period. He had always been a decisive man, but now he was faltering in his convictions. He looked at the files and documents he had brought with him to, meet Elaine. He was okay being hated by her…or so he had thought. But now, he was not sure if he was going to be able to accept the hate from the wo
Everything looks perfect. It was the perfect evening with the perfect scene of the evening sun that was setting on the horizon. Peace, serenity and contentment; a mixture of all these feelings overflew within Elaine as she looked at the silent beach while silently looking at the constant ebb of the waves. How long it had been since they saw something like this together, she wondered as her hands travelled to touch the back of Michael’s hand that was resting on her lap. Two figures stayed in silence that was equivalent to their inner peace and satisfaction on a bench near the sea looking at the seagulls that were flying on the great bluish red horizon. “Thank you for being with me all this time,” Elaine smiled as she looked at the profile view of Michael who had a faint smile on his well chiseled face. It was their 5th year of marriage; according to some people this amount of time was more than enough for th
After two years A beautiful and well-maintained Villa was in sight. It was surrounded by a huge plain land that was filled with beautiful flowers and plants. The whole scene looked quite mesmerizing and enchanting. The sun was high up in the sky by was slowly moving towards the western hills to hide itself amongst the clouds, painting the whole sky golden and a bright shade of red. One would probably call this setting romantic or better, a beautiful scene right out of a fairy tale. Few people were walking in the ground as they busily moved their hands to do the things that needed a lot of manpower and time to do. These people were dressed in neat and ironed maid and butler dresses. But no matter how much they tried to look like well-established gentlemen who were lending hand to the maids to work around, one could see their piercings and tattoos that looked fiercer in contrast
Elaine’s eyelid fluttered open as she felt his hot breath in her ear, making her a bit ticklish. It was winter, however, right now she felt like she was living in mid-summer. The heat surrounding her was enough to melt her. She moved her hand, her fingertips traced a straight line on his masculine back, caressing every muscle before finally reaching his nape. The heat was getting to her mind, making her delirious. However, she followed her desire to give everything to the man she loved, Michael, while taking everything she could from him. Feeling his soft but firm lips against her own, she blushed a bit. Even this small amount of intimacy caused her endless pleasure. Yet, it was just the beginning.
“Hey, where have you been?” Elaine looked with puffed up eyes and a red face, at the guy who was sneaking inside the hospital room. She was holding a pile of laundry in her hand as she glared at the man with red eyes full of questions. “Oops, I was caught right?” Michel who was still dressed in his hospital gown with a bandage around his stomach looked at Elaine with a half embarrassed and half smiling face. “What do you think?” Elaine rolled her eyes as she proceeded to keep the folded laundry in the wardrobe. Although he was caught sneaking, his face showed no sign of remorse or regret. In contrast, he seemed to be a little happy about it. No matter what he did, it seemed to him that he could not run away from his lover’s eyes. It kind of made him happy. “Well, I am back, aren’t I?” He winked while hiding something in his hand. He was holding something in his hand that he had gotten after sneaking out. He placed his h
Elaine did not know when or how they reached the hospital. All she saw was the bleeding man in front of her, the man she loved. He was unconscious and it was scary. She did not know what to do except for pleading with the nurses and doctors that were taking him for an operation. “Please, stay with me…” she pleaded as she held his hands. She was breaking down with each passing second. She was dying inside as she watched the weak light in his eyes dilate. “Please, get her to another ward to get a check-up,” the military head asked as soon as Michale was sent to the operating center. She could not believe it, she could not believe anything that was happening at the moment was real. Most importantly, she did not want to believe it was real. She did not want to leave his side no matter what. “Please, miss,” the nurse managed to separate her away from Michale who was heading to the operating room. He needed to get surgery soon, otherwise, he was going to die cause of blood loss. Elaine
Elaine was too shocked and frozen to understand and react to what was happening all of sudden. So, she watched with her eyes opened up in surprise at the devil that was running towards them, well, her to be more precise. …… “What is the situation over there? A man dressed in military dress spoke in his walkie talkie. “Sir,” a man who was in a slightly lower rank than him said with a slightly hesitant voice as he looked at the surrounding around him. They had come here in an important mission as they had gotten a confidential information from their undercover agent that someone from the government was being held hostage by the convict who was supposed to have been dead in the raid 3 months ago. The place they were at was located in an extremely deserted location that even they had hard time finishing. Whoever the person was, he had to salute that person for being able to contact them even while being held hostages. But, it
“Oho, little missy.” Dave saw that Elaine had somehow loosened the rope that had bound her hand. “Are you trying to escape from here?” he asked with a mockery smile on his face. The look on his face clearly said that he was not going to let her leave this place alive or dead. “Dave!” Elaine muttered the name half conscious, half asleep. There was no way he was going to let the girl who ruined their perfect plan and reduced it to nothingness to go away from his hands. Elaine looked at her hands and turned her attention to the guy who was slowly advancing toward herself. ‘Just a little more,’ she encouraged herself to not give up and continued with the work of untying the rope. If she was going to leave this place alive, no one else was going to help her except herself. She did not want anything to happen to others anymore. Taking a deep breathe she looked at the side and saw the lifeless body of Ark which was b
Dave; He is the leader of the Black Rose Gang. After spending his time in seclusion after the demise of his parents, he had not appeared much often in the public. After all, his gang, and especially the head was in a vulnerable position of getting killed anytime. So, all this time, he had been living in foreign nations, hiding while making plans to come back to the central city. He could never abandon the central city, after all, it was the palace where everything started. He had plans to attack the Tyrell Gang slowly when it was weakened. He had also planned to take help from Aurora and anyone he could. He did not mind getting his hand dirty to get what he wanted. However, everything changed when he got the recent news. Someone was digging into the past of the black rose gang and their misconduct. Well, it was only fair that as a mafia gang, they are supposed to do dirty work. Nevertheless, this was going to pour water into all of his har
“Where is everyone?” A man dressed in a black tailored suit was standing on an elevated platform that was on the center of the ground. “Is everyone dead?” He shouted out loud but the only thing that replied back to him was his own reflected voice. He was surrounded by black chairs from all around and with how dark the room looked, the person looked much more intimidating than he was. The size of the room was immense but the presence of the man was much greater than the room itself. Hearing his voice, a man who was also dressed formally came running forward from the door. From the looks of it, he seemed to be some kind of security guard. “B-Boss..” He was staggering as he walked. From how surprised and taken aback he looked, there was no doubt, the visit from this Boss was unexpected. “Oh, here comes someone,” he chuckled as he spoke. His eyes followed the movement of the man from the moment he had entered the hall. Seemed
