Chapter 2

After dinner, the party came to an end and all the guests started leaving. Seeing Nichole leaving Jack went to bid farewell to Sarah while Serena was busy with her friends. He said to her,

"I guess you don't attend public events much as I found you standing alone most of the time and we couldn't accompany you as well. We are sorry for that. "

"Yes, you are right. My parents attend all the parties and functions while I like to stay at home." Nichole replied with a tired expression.

She further continued, "And you don't need to be sorry because there were so many guests so it was not possible to entertain everyone individually."

I am impressed by your thoughtfulness. By the way, it was nice to see you at my party."

"Bye." He said as he placed his hand in front of her.

"Bye". Nichole replied as she shook hands with him. After that, she left. Jack kept looking at her until she disappeared from his sight.

"I can't wait to have a taste of you." He said to himself while kissing his hand without being noticed by anyone that was touched by Sarah.

After the party, Jack and Serena returned home. After getting changed, Serena found Jack lost in his thoughts while lying on the bed. She sat beside him and started moving her fingers in his hair She then said to him, "I think we should have a baby now. But to her surprise, Jack didn't respond. He did not even look at her.

Jack!" she almost shouted as she shook him.

"What's wrong? Why are you so angry?" He said as he sat up with a jump.

"You are lost in your thoughts after the party is over. And now when I want to discuss such an important matter with you, you are not even listening to me. If something is bothering you then you can tell me. But please, at least talk to me." Serena said to him in a worried tone.

"No, it's nothing important. It's just a small business matter."Jack tried to calm down her.

"But I have never seen you so much worried about business matters. Is there anything serious? " Serena asked while trying to read his facial expressions.

"Nothing serious. Just leave this matter and tell me what you wanted to discuss with me?." He said as he tried to change that topic.

"Oh yes. I was saying that since it has been one year that we have been married we should plan for a baby now." Serena said with a mixed expression of happiness and shyness.

"Baby? Why suddenly do u need a baby? Did someone say something at the party? " He asked three questions in one go.

"Nobody said anything to me. During this one year, you have been busy with work most of the time And I tried to spend this spare time on outings with friends and boring parties. But now I am fed up with all this. Now I want stability in my life. That's why I want to have a baby now so that it could accompany me when you are not around. " She explained.

Jack laughed hearing her explanation. He then said to Serena, "ok then we'll have a baby soon. I must fulfill your every wish."

"Should we start making efforts from tonight?" She asked him seductively as she leaned towards him so that her lips almost touched his lips.

"No. You must have been tired. So get some rest for now. We'll do it some other day." Jack said while patting her head.

"I'm not that tired. Moreover, it's not only our wedding anniversary but the first night anniversary also. Don't you think that we should celebrate it? " She said as she pulled him towards her.

"OK, as you wish."He finally surrendered.

Jack wasn't willing to be intimate with her. Because from the moment he had seen Nichole he lost all his interest in Serena. He never loved her to begin with and now when he had met the woman he genuinely liked, it was natural for him to be more aligned with her. The only reason he married her was that she was the daughter of a rich business tycoon.

But he agreed because he didn't want to arouse suspicions toward him. And now when he had something to hide, he needed to be more cautious.

After their make-out session, Serena slept peacefully. But Jack was still unable to sleep. He couldn't stop himself from thinking about Nichole. He badly wanted to hug her, kiss her red cherry-like lips, and swallow her whole body.

But before he could do that he first has to find out complete details about her.

So the next day in his office, he ordered his personal assistant Harry, "I need all the details of Nichole Fernandez by tomorrow morning. And be careful to not let anyone else know about this."

"Ok, sir." The assistant said as he nodded his head and left right away.

After that Jack tried to busy himself with work but he was not able to concentrate. He wanted to know about Sarah as soon as possible. But he had to wait until the next day.

He decided to reach home a little later than usual time so that he could avoid Serena's suspicions about his changed behavior.

The next day, assistant Harry appeared in his office with his findings. "What information you have collected? " Jack asked him.

The assistant replied, "Sir, Nichole Fernandez is the only daughter of famous neurologist Dr. Albert Fernandez. She had been a brilliant student during her school and college times. Five years ago, When she was in the last year of her college, a guy whom she loved left her and never returned. She had never been in a relationship again because she believes that her love would come back to her. She works for an N. G. O. and loves to play guitar in her free time. Apart from her work, she likes to stay at home and spend time with her parents as she is very close to them. "

"Recently her father had a major heart attack and could be saved only by bypass surgery. After that, he is continuously pressurizing her to get married so that he could see her settle down in her life before anything happens to him." The assistant remained silent for a few seconds after saying this.

"From where you have collected all this information? " After analyzing the information for some time, finally, Jack asked his assistant.

"I have interrogated her neighbors saying that I have a marriage proposal for her. Hence, they provided me with all this information." The assistant replied again.

"OK, you may leave now. And remember to keep all this a secret. " Jack ordered his assistant.

"Fine sir." The assistant said as he left.

After getting her all details, Jack began to think of a plan to bring Nichole close to him. It was not an easy task because Nichole was not like those other women who could be lured with money. And the fact that he was already married was making things more difficult. He knew that he would lose everything if he divorced Serena to be with Nichole. And he couldn't imagine his life back to where it was before he married Serena. Moreover, h Nichole might not be willing to be with him once she knew that he divorced his wife to marry another woman.
