Chapter 21

After dinner, Bob wanted to go for a walk.

Timothy clicked his tongue. "You're not that old, are you? Why are you behaving like an old man?"

Bob replied, "I used to walk my dog, so I got used to walking after dinner."

Timothy asked, "So, where's the dog now?"

Bob said, "My ex-wife took it."

Timothy pulled a face as if to say, 'Man, you've got it rough.'

Bob found it amusing. "What kind of expression is that?"

"It's just, you know, exes always take something you don't want them to and leave something you don't want them to leave behind..."

Timothy glanced around, once again feeling an overwhelming emptiness. "Did your place always look like this?"

Bob also looked around and said, "Yeah, some things are missing."

That was it; he did not elaborate further.

After that, he went upstairs, grabbed a pair of trousers, and handed them to Timothy, who was sitting on the carpet with his bare legs exposed. "Put these on. We're heading out."
