"Getting him disgruntled wasn't crucial, Gretel, she wasn't his girl," Dominus mumbled to Gretel, he was still at the forbidden church.

Gretel swiveled toward him with a frown. "He was the main reason Michael died, the reason I had to use everything in me to bring him back to life, even if it meant me being banished," Her chest rose and fell heavily from resentment. "You have no inkling of the things I wanted to do to him, you were just in time to save him."

"Forsyth is powerful, taking him down wouldn't have been lenient, and I need you alive."

"Of course you do." Gretel scoffed.

All of a sudden the tinge in her eyes deviated, it now held more sobriety. "Give me your hand." And Dominus didn't object, knowing his sister and the bizarre things she does.

Gretel held Dominus's hand in a tight grip and scrutinized the palm's sketch, she glanced into Dominus's eyes with an eerie expression after some minutes and released his palm.
