Chapter 154: Rapture

The girl he was proposing to didn't seem impressed and darted disappointedly at his expression, before storming off. But not before she whacked his devilish face with her purse.

The shock on his face made Ivanna rupture into laughter.

The laughter happened to have been loud since she caught a glare from the man. His face hardened as his eyes found her.

Her bad.

She hastily jumped off her seat and attempted to fade away into the crowd. It was nighttime anyway.

But the man didn't seem to want her gone yet as he trailed behind her with long steps.

Ok, now this is creepy.

She picked her pace and began running. She halted when she got to a juncture, the man wasn't after her anymore. Her eyes scanned the crowd, scouring for someone.

She could recollect he instructed her to remain where she was, and now she couldn't even recognize where had been earlier.

She inhaled deeply before releasing it. It felt good to be at home. Being back in the country after a decade and a half felt great.
