Chapter 910

Linus sat in his room, staring at the orchid on the table. It was growing strong, without considering its environment or the type of person nurturing it.

Unlike its owner, however, the orchid had its own plan. It was growing steadily as intended. Yet Linus, who had grown up here, was bound by the dictates of Daniel.

The more Linus thought about it, the more irritated he became. He decided to stop thinking altogether and try to get some proper sleep. He had not slept a wink last night, and now, his mind was foggy.

He recalled the scene from yesterday—everyone was having such a good time, while he, the useless one, had been forgotten, never to be remembered.

The more Linus thought about it, the more awake he became, making it impossible to sleep.

There was a knock at the door. Linus guessed it was probably Gwen again. What a nuisance.

He did not want to answer, hoping the person outside would think he was not there.

However, the knocking continued, even growing faster.
