Chapter 884

Lucy slept until four in the afternoon, only getting up once to use the bathroom, leaving Matthew alone.

Matthew had told her to rest well as he knew how busy she usually was. Sometimes, taking care of the children meant she barely had time to eat. He remembered one time, Lucy had just woken up and the children started crying again.

Matthew usually had time to rest, but even he struggled to keep up with their two rambunctious kids, who had inherited his lively nature.

Knowing how difficult things were for Lucy, Matthew suggested hiring another nanny to help, but Lucy refused. She knew the children were used to familiar faces. Besides, what kind of mother would she be if she did not take care of her own children?

Matthew carried her to the bed, waking her up in the process. Just as he was about to apologize, Lucy grabbed him and kissed his forehead. "I've slept enough!" she said, looking at him gently. Though she appeared to scold him, it was actually her way of being affectionate.
