The teacher sighed, disappointed. "Mrs. Lance, I understand that not doing homework is mainly an academic issue and could simply mean a lack of interest in learning. We can work on that. But what's more concerning is that she's lying at such a young age."

Jennifer felt like she wanted to crawl into a hole. Why was there such a big difference between her two children?
