Cassidy thought Jennifer would never be this harsh with Caleb or the unborn baby if they were in her place. The thought left Cassidy in despair, and tears started streaming down her cheeks.

Jennifer felt a wave of helplessness and exhaustion wash over her. She signed and handed her daughter to Maxwell before going to the hallway to clear her head.
