"No, I had nothing to do with it," Rachel immediately denied. "I ran into her on the way here with Jasper. Even though I know she's Jennifer, I wouldn't dare say anything without your permission.

"She was the one who was worried I might misunderstand and kept insisting she had no connection to you. I said that I'd be prepared if you two were a couple. Maybe this comment made her think I was doubting you?"
