Chapter 526

A trace of disappointment flashed in Jennifer's eyes as she watched the couples before her walking into the marriage license office. She sighed softly and said to Michael, "Mr. Smith, please take me home."

Noticing her return, Martha immediately went to greet her.

Jennifer paused briefly and asked, "Martha, I thought you had the day off. Why didn't you leave?"

"Both you and Mr. Lance have been so good to me. How could I take advantage of your kindness?" Martha answered with a smile.

She added, "Besides, there's nothing going on back in my hometown, so I took the opportunity to tidy up the nursery and air it out."

A faint smile played on Jennifer's lips as she nodded. "Thank you for your hard work."
