Didn't Maxwell and Jennifer get a divorce? How could Jennifer be pregnant?

Nathan's mind raced with questions. His usually calm self was now in a mess.

Maxwell anticipated Nathan's reaction and mocked, "Are you still listening, Dr. Lowe?"

Nathan's expression darkened. "Where are you? I'll head over now. Didn't you want to talk? Let's talk."

Maxwell snickered sarcastically. "Didn't you say you were busy? What's with the change of heart?"

Even so, Maxwell still agreed to meet up with Nathan. There were some words better spoken physically, after all.

Half an hour later, Nathan arrived at Haven City's bridge as promised. Maxwell was not far behind.

They both stood by the bridge, catching attention from onlookers. But the air around them was tense, stirring everyone away.

Maxwell sneered and started, "You're young, Dr. Lowe. I heard you have quite a few pursuers. So, why are you going after a married woman?"

Nathan was furious. "She isn't your wife anymore! The law says so too.
