Maxwell had been gone for three days and finally called her on the fourth day.

Jennifer didn't answer and stared blankly as the phone rang. Later, Maxwell sent a message saying everything went smoothly, and he would be back tomorrow.

Nathan noticed her troubled look and asked, "Jennifer, are you feeling unwell? Do you need to rest?"
