"Jennifer, we are sorry for misunderstanding you."

"That's right, but it was probably a stroke of luck in disguise that Dr. Lowe noticed you. If you apply for his graduate program in the future, you'll have an advantage over us!"

"By the way, did Dr. Lowe mention whether he will accept you as his student for the postgraduate entrance exam next year?"

Jennifer was overwhelmed by the barrage of questions and took some time to respond. "I don't interact much with Dr. Lowe in private, so I'm not sure."

After some time, Jennifer realized that the usual sharp but familiar voice was absent in the classroom. She looked around and asked, "Where's Quincy? Didn't she come to class today?"

Quincy wasn't popular among her classmates. Some of them sneered, "Oh, her! It seems like she offended someone in the laboratory and got kicked out.

"She doesn't even have a place to conduct her experiments, so she definitely can't complete her thesis. Quincy hasn't come to class for several days now
