Calista didn't respond. Although Lucian sounded harsh, it was not his obligation to save her. She couldn’t get mad at him now that he regretted it.

That would only make her seem heartless.

"Others would at least treat a meal to express their thanks. You, on the other hand, can't even say thank you sincerely."

Calista gritted her teeth and suppressed her temper.

"Then what would you like to eat? I'll make a reservation."

Lucian glanced at her, his expression strangely arrogant.
