Chapter 5-Sweet melody in my ear

 I decided to go back to the house, so I cautiously ran back to the house and leaned in the walls outside and peeped into the room living window and I saw two men kicking dad in different places as mum was sitting on the floor her hands tied behind her back as  sobbed and begged them to stop hitting dad.

 The torch light was on the table giving to the room.

  I sighed in relief as I was sure Rebecca wasn't there thank goodness she didn't come out.

 "Please stop, please stop". Mom cried as the men continued their assault on dad.

I was looking around the room to see if I could see an opening and run back into the house,this would be difficult since they were in the living room.

 I really needed to call the police, who knows how long it would take them before getting here?

 " Shut up your stupid mouth!". One of them shouted.

"What do you want ? If it's money we can give you, just take the money". Mum cried out as the man crouched down to her level.

" Did we tell you we came here for your damn Money,we came on a hunting sphere and your damn daughter killed one of us and injured another !". He yelled at her.

 So the other guy didn't die? To be fair they did kill my aunt.

From what I got to know they were five in total,one died, one injured and three are still standing. Or is there someone hiding somewhere else?

"Your daughters are animals that need to be hunted and killed,look what she did to my hand". The man showed Mom his hand that was covered in blood.

  I was still wondering why he was still holding a gun. I guess the mirror shards didn't cause much injury.

"Paul We need to take James to the hospital ". One said and the one talking to mom got up.

" Are you stupid?". Paul asked the person who said that.

"He will bleed out". He replied.

" He knew what he was getting himself into when he agreed to follow us". Paul countered.

 No care in the world for one of his friends.

"Paul, he never agreed to die". The man cried out.

" Then what did he agree to? He should have known that the moment we took guns and came to hunt anything can happen, just tie him up and we will avenge him". Paul said.

 Am thinking of him as the leader because the rest weren't that strong.

 What hunt is he talking about?

"This is messed up ,no one of us was supposed to die". The  man cried out as the other said nothing.

 Something tells me the man in support of leaving their friend to bleed out.

" Shut your mouth Chris!". Paul shouted at the other man who was trembling. I think he was dragged into this.

"No brother of mine shall be a weakling, act like my brother you fool".Paul scolded Chris.

 Now I see his brother,then hurting his brother would cause him pain,I took a closer look into his brother's face. That's my next target.

" We should get down to business ". The other guy spoke .

" You are right Felix we should but with the girls loose and with a gun I don't think that's a good idea". Paul said.

"That's the perfect way to get a perfect prey and I saw only one girl, I think the other is still hiding in the house". He said as I saw mom tense up and look away,I think they saw too.

 How can she act so obviously?

Gosh mom!

"Where is the other girl?". Paul asked mum.

" I dont know". Mum cried out as he held onto  her hair lifting her up as she screamed in pain and stood on her feets.

" If  you won't tell us we will have fun with you". Paul said to mum who started shaking with fear.

  This bothered me a lot ,I knew it would come to this but I didn't want to give my position away.

"I don't know". Mum said as she shook with each cry that escaped her mouth.

" Fine then". Paul said as he pushed her down and got on top of her and ripped off her part of her shirt as mum cried and pleaded.

"No please no!". She cried.

" Paul this isn't why we came here". Chris said .

"Shut up and learn how to instill fear into people !". Paul shouted at Chris who looked away.

 He's scared of him.

"Please let her go". Dad said weakly  as he tried to stand and Felix kicked him in the gut and he fell back down.

  Mum was still crying and pleading, her hands were tied behind her so she only kicked her legs at him.

 I raised the shot gun and pointed at Chris.

Bang!.

 I shot it and the glass window shattered. I had to close my eyes but some still scratched my face,I saw Chris stagger back,Felix took cover and Paul got off mom and took cover  and she ran upstairs and finally Chris vomited blood and fell with a thud.

" Chris!". Paul shouted as they shot towards the direction of the window but I was already running away back into the bushes with the biggest small on my face,I have never felt so excited before.

"Ah!!!". I heard Paul scream, it was a sweet melody in my ears.

I heard footsteps running outside the house and shooting in different directions but I was already at a great distance hiding in the bushes with the biggest grin on my face.

" I will make you pay!". Paul shouted as he shot his gun more,I aimed the shotgun at him and bang but he dodged and retreated back into the house.

 How did he see it?

 I wasted a bullet.
