CHAPTER 49

Sunlight filtered through Zella's window curtains. She was still staring at the apartment door; Kenneth had returned from the evening in the morning. She tried contacting Kenneth many times, but none of the calls and messages got an answer.

Was she too selfish? She hurt Kenneth's feelings too much.

After thinking for a long time, there was no use in feeling regret for so long, and Zella had to go back to being herself. Hasn't she said from the beginning that no love can influence solving all her affairs? Now that her words have come true without Kenneth, Zella will still finish everything.

She picked up her cell phone and dialed someone. Only one person in her agency had strong enough connections, so Zella hoped her leader, Audrey, could help her, even though it was unlikely.
