CHAPTER 43

"Please don't wake me up from this beautiful dream," said Kenneth.

Zella who heard all that, froze again. She didn't know what to do, leaving was useless. Zella still wanted to make sure whether Kenneth was fully awake or still delusional.

"Shut..." Zella placed her hand on the top of Kenneth's head, stroking it gently, like a baby having a nightmare.

Kenneth's eyes closed again, except that Zella's hand was still gripped tightly. It was difficult to break away roughly; inevitably, Zella had to do it slowly when Kenneth was very sound asleep before she could escape.

"Not for now, Kenneth. I won't let love get the better of me when it comes to revenge!" Zella monologue in her mind.

Zella's feet moved slowly toward the exit. Just as her hand was about to open the door, a heavy voice greeted her.

"You're still going?"

Zella froze in place. Her heart leaped out of her chest, and her body slowly turned to face Kenneth, who was sitting facing her.
