CHAPTER 36

Zella froze in front of her mother's cloth-covered body. Her face was passively pale, and not a single sound came out of Zella. The tears had also dried up, only regret and hatred remained.

There was no family other than her. Only Quenzella, the only daughter of Bella Persson, carried the last name of the bastard man who had left her long ago.

"There's still a lot I haven't told you, you should wake up and encourage me. You should have seen your daughter grow into a strong woman! But then again, this is much more painful," Zella monologues in her heart, too painful for her to speak. When there were only walls that were so cold, witnessing her being so broken was humiliating.

"If I could go back, I would probably ask to stop at the age of 10. Daddy, Mommy, and I, who still didn't know anything other than just playing and being happy."
