CHAPTER 27

"What's wrong?" Diandra again felt that Zella looked silent without speaking; the mood of the woman in front of her was back to what it was before they came to the ring of death.

"It's nothing. Let me go to the restroom first," Zella said with a very cold intonation. She stood up and left her desk.

Zella walked quickly, not towards the toilet but towards the exit from the other direction. Zella exhaled, took out a cardboard box filled with nicotine, and began to burn the tip with a lighter.

The smoke from the nicotine between her lips wafted out. Zella was still smoking with a blank stare; there was only her in this area. Maybe people only know the exit from the main access door.

Zella looked down at the surface of her leather boots. Her eyes closed; she no longer wanted to cry. But Zella was contemplating whether she could look professional after this. Would she be okay with going back to the way they never saw each other in the first place?
