When they returned to the mansion, the atmosphere was tense. Tania, with a smile that failed to hide her ambition, quickly stepped forward.

"I'll take care of taking Laura to her room," he announced, almost in an authoritative tone.

But Valeria, with tears in her eyes, stood resolutely in front of him.
