Mason is in the car with Mariah. She has blindfolded by just like when they were first taking her to mansion with Keith. They do this to every single outsider to keep the mansion’s location hidden. Mason takes off the blindfold once they reach near Mariah’s apartment.

“I’m sorry I doubted you, doctor and I’m sorry that you have to go through all this,” Mason speaks reluctantly. Mariah listens to Mason and is sure that he is the only close to normal person she’s met out of all Adam’s people. Mariah doesn’t reply as she’s distracted by the thoughts of the other gang. The gang in which Keith was. Ariak’s gang. They will definitely come for her to know Keith’s location and everything she witnessed in Adam’s mansion.

Mason hands Mariah a brand new cellphone which brings her back from her thoughts.

“This phone has a tracking chip fitted in it so always keep it with you. I have number saved in it as well so call me if somethings seems suspicious,” Mason continues, “And the police won’t be of any help so even if you think of contacting them, just don’t. The police doesn’t get evolved in any mafia stuff and sometimes they even cover up for the gangs.”

The last door to get rid of these mafia gangs is also is slammed in her face. She can’t contact anyone, she can’t tell anyone anything as it will put them in danger as well. She has to endure everything on her own with anyone’s help. Only God knows when is this all going to end. Mariah thinks to herself if this will end with her death but it doesn’t matter right now as she’s not dead YET.

Mason drops Mariah in front of her apartment. Mason says his last sentence to Mariah which leaves Mariah speechless.

“Just don’t get yourself killed,Doctor”

Mariah opens her apartment’s door and sees everything in place like it was before she left for Keith’s disastrous party. Mariah closes the door and slips down the door. She tried to control her tears on her way but now she’s alone and she needs to cry. She needs to cry to let out her anger, frustration and helplessness. She needs to cry as emptiness is consuming her heart.

…………………………..

After crying her heart out, Mariah decides to change as she just wants to get out of the clothes that she was given in that hell. She takes a shower and changes to her own clothes. She wants to call Blaire to let her know she’s okay as she would have been worrying about her since there was no way of contact as Blaire had her cellphone.

Mariah doesn’t want to call Blaire from the cellphone Mason gave her. She hopes that she wouldn’t have to use it ever. Mariah takes out the cup noodles from her cupboard and prepares them to eat. She heads out after eating. She walks to the nearest store and asks for a call. She gives the shopkeeper money and calls Blaire. Thankfully Blaire picks up and Mariah is first to speak.

“Hey Blaire! Mariah here!”

“OH MY GOD!! MARIAH, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWEHERE. ARE YOU OKAY?” Blaire speaks in a loud voice like she’s scolding Mariah.

Mariah lets out weak smile which Blaire can’t see. It’s a sad smile as Mariah can’t even tell her best friend about what she’s been through. She can only tell her that she’s okay and live for now.

“I’m totally fine dumbass. I stayed the night at a friends house after chaos struck at Keith’s house. I wasn’t able to contact you because I gave my cellphone to you at the party and I’m sorry I had you worried,” Mariah speaks in a low voice trying to bury her sobs so Blaire won’t notice.

“You’re the dumb one here. And which friend’s house was it. I am your best friend. Forget it, you’re coming to work tomorrow right? I’ll tell you everything at the hospital. For now just be thankful that I didn’t call your parents or your sister as I didn’t want them to worry as well. I knew my genius friend would eventually find a way to escape,” Blaire speaks and joy can be felt in her voice as she’s relieved that Mariah’s safe.

Tears are falling down Mariah’s face as she says her goodbye.

“See you tomorrow, Blaire.”

“See you tomorrow, Mariah.”

Mariah, sensing the turmoil within him, waited in confusion until Adam decided to share his thoughts."At first, I thought I was dreaming. I thought I was going to die, and then I heard your voice after a while, and something triggered inside my head. And then I knew it wasn't the first time you were saving my life. There was so much to say, so many questions, yet neither of them uttered a single word for a long while.
