TRIGGER WARNINGS

Just to be clear, this is a dark romance book and there will be a lot of triggers. I know I left warnings at the blurb but I've seen scenarios with other authors where their books were down graded because it had trigger scenes even though there were actual warnings in the book.

There's a reason it's called DARK ROMANCE. and a Mafia book can't do without it. at least mine.

like the next chapter. Trigger warnings in the next chapter. I advice not to read if you are sensitive to avoid negative feedbacks.

I assure you, this scenes are needed for the plot progression.

Happy reading.

Author, this book needs a major edit!! Your grammatical and punctuation errors are astronomical, and it affects your book!! I feel like I'm grading the paper of a 3rd grader!! Yes, that's harsh, but I don't want to have to reread a passage just to understand what you're trying to portray!!

She swallowed, thinking of how stupid she was to believe it was Sir Derinem. Trying not to tremble in front of the guard so he didn't report to Maestro, she lowered her moist eyes, waiting for his voice to return. "Maya," he chuckled, "I caught you off guard?" She nodded for a moment, forgetting he wasn't there with her, but still, she felt him all around her. His touch, his threats, his kisses... "Maya!" "M...Maes... Maestro very...sorry, I fell asleep... " "Stop speaking before you choke on air." He growled, then sighed. "It's challenging. You're not here. I got used to your presence, and it's hard reaching out and not touching you." Quite the opposite was the case for her. The large bed was made for her without him, and her bulging lower eyes faded to their beautiful almond shape. "Say something, Maya. I called to hear you speak." How he went from sounding like the devil to a lost little boy couldn't be learned. That sent her off guard. It pushed her into not knowing what to

He got to his feet when he felt her motionless beneath him, leaned down, he stroked the side of her neck, checking to see if she was still breathing and sighing when she was. He moved to the wall, pulled his hair back from his face, and turned on the light while glancing at her form on the bed. He squinted. She wasn't Maya, no. Even yet, she didn't resemble Maya. He got into the bathroom and turned on the shower. The water beating down on his body soothing his tired muscles. His eyes were still open despite the rushing water, and his fist packed a handful of his hair. Red eyes gleamed in the dark bathroom. He could hear the men talking just outside the door, waiting for his command, but all that came to his mind was... "Maya," he muttered in the water. He knew it was happening again, just as Derinem had warned. He couldn't stop his obsession. The obsession he wanted an escape from The water dripped from his hair down to his body as he grabbed a towel, burying his face and hair

"Wow," she heard him say, and she raised her head to see him still scrutinizing the note. She couldn't tell if it affected him, for his countenance was straight, making her wonder if she had made the right choice in giving him the note. "Your sister..." He shook the note, "Just wow." He left her and went to the window, his back toward her. "I'm sorry about all of this, but is there anything I can do for you?" "Yes," she went to him, "this is it." This was all she needed. She wanted, "I want you to let me go to the wedding." He stayed quiet for a while, his body still, his muscled back stiffening. The room was quiet; the only sounds were her unstable breaths. She knew what she was asking for. Damn the escape plan; this had to go on first. Then he broke her "No, Maya, you can't go." "But she's my sister," she clenched her fist, knowing she was going past her limit. "A family. I can't miss a family's wedding." "She states here that she understands you won't be able to grace the

Who was it going to be for then? He watched her back at the far end of the room, suddenly looking like a demon, her confident allure evident with every movement of her body. She wasn't the girl who had left Don's room just now. This woman, whoever she was, was different. "So, whom are the papers for?" She turned to him, a dark smile on her beautiful lips, "For an old friend. An ex. My sister's groom, a family friend." Her laughter echoed in the room: "He is a lot of things: even a liar and a cheat." "Are you okay, ma'am?" He was about to reach for her when she raised a finger. "I'm fine. Very good. Okay, at the prospect of what's to come, because it will be interesting, Luca," the fire in her eyes lowered, and she tipped her head to the side so innocently, "I just need you to help me." He nodded, stepping forward with his hands resting against his zipper. "I'm all at your service, ma'am; anything you want me to do?" "A lot of things." *** He kicked the door of the pub closed w

He frowned at the paper and then back at her, trembling at the sight of the evidence piled in a huge file, ready to ruin him. He swallowed hard. "Where did you get this?" She patted her hair carefully, pushing back invisible strands. Who the heck was this woman, and what the hell was she doing in Maya? "It's hard for anyone to turn a request down when money gets involved; I advise you to clean your circle," she said, studying her nails, "Manuel, you can tear those if you want; I have more than a hundred copies." "Maya, why are you doing this? What do you want from me?" Her eyes flared, and she sat up, face to face with him, "How dare you ask me that? How dare you?" "Boss," she heard Luca's comforting tone and stayed still. Then she took a deep breath, fell back on the car seat, and crossed her legs, revealing a slit down the sides, showing long, creamy thighs. "In a way, I'm helping Anna, stopping her from getting married to a leech for a husband. But all the same, Manuel, the sm

When Luca knocked on her door two days later with a cell phone in hand, dialing Manuel, it was a thrill for her to hear the fear in his voice. It seemed he was with Anna when the call came through, for she heard the background noise change immediately from rowdy to quiet while he spoke in a hushed tone."Maya, come on! You can't hold a grudge that long; you can't be asking me to call off the wedding with your sister!"She tightened the robe around her body, feeling empty of emotions as she stared at the painting in Maestro's room. She had to keep this going, or she would fall back on her own words."Oh my God, I didn't know she was my sister." Her sarcasm was evident. "How did you know?" Then she snapped, "Listen here, Manuel; I've given you enough time, and tomorrow is the wedding.""How will she feel if I call everything off a day before the wedding?""I don't care a bit, *Barbie*" She pushed her hair behind her ear, hearing his frustrated sighs, "Will you or will you not do it?""Ok

Her fist clenched and unclenched, standing right there. She turned to look at Manuel, who had his eyes wholly on Anna. Maya scoffed. Anyone who didn't know would want what Anna had.She felt tired just standing there watching her betrayal take place; seems the alcohol had also kicked in, for she had to shake her head several times to keep the focus on everything going on.No way she was going to let this damn wedding take place. No damn way she would make that bastard make a fool out of her! He would receive the repercussions, even if it meant using her blood. She moved out of the bench, slowly past people who seemed offended that her wobbly legs couldn't stay in place. And therefore protested. she did not go that far when Luca held her wrist. She turned quickly to look at him, and she was met with his stern expression."What do you think you are doing, Maya?" Maybe it was her distrust with her ears, or the gun pointed at her face, and she hoped he pulled the trigger; perhaps it was how her mother's face suddenly looked sober, avoiding her gaze, or even how Anna's mouth opened like a goldfish.Who am I?"Dad," Anna's sober voice was curious. "Dad, is it true?"Alfredo's eyes were still on Maya when he spilled, "Yes, Anna, she's not your sister. She's your cousin."It all made sense—why she never felt part of a family that she grew up thinking was hers, the hatred, the frequent degradation. It all boiled down to this. Her clear voice came up, a little slurred, making her wonder if it was her talking or the alcohol. "All this time you made me feel like shit was because I wasn't one of you." She laughed, and Alfredo's gun lowered. "I wish I had known this sooner, Alfredo!"Murmurs swept through the crowd. The woman came forward; her shiny blue dress and beautiful makeup didn't do enough to hide the disdain on her face."He is still your father,

Unable to feel her body, she decided she was in heaven.Only heaven could feel this painless; only heaven could feel this safe, well, heaven and Zayne's presence, but since he wasn't in sight, maybe she was in heaven. She waited for the angels to take her into paradise, wipe the tears from her eyes, and tell her she would be okay, that the earth was never her place anyway, that she'd fallen. The image of Axel holding the sledgehammer with a sick smile while watching her scream in agony had tears filling her eyes. She was never meant for this brutal and sinful world anyway. She wondered if Zayne would find her dead body. She wanted to cry out for him, tell him she was sorry she had gone off track, and cry that she didn't deserve him, but it was too late; she was dead.Or was she..."I had a feeling you'd open those eyes today."
