You can't fool others!

....to death. But, I was showing like I am completely fine. I just smiled and lowered my head towards the computer and suddenly...

B - O - O - M !

Electricity gone!

Oh my god!

I never felt so much happiness even on my birthday. My lips curled up more. I was happy. My heart was dancing. I have been working in the office for more than 3 years. It was the first time the electricity went out.

Lucky me! Hurre!

But, I could see the big boss. He wasn't so happy. He was still staring at me like he was about to insult me, but electricity saved me.

His face was cold and he was constantly looking at me without blinking the eyes. My smile started fading. It was very uncomfortable for me to look at his eyes. I finally said, "Sir, amm... actually..... electricity is gone!"

He roared, "I know!"

After saying this, he turned around and started leaving the office. I was shocked with his behavior. I just blinked my eyes. What wrong I have done?

Have I ever humiliated him?

I searched my memory. I have never met this man in my entire life. Actually, I don't even know any person whose name was George or any person who resembles him.

I started biting my lips. I just can't forget the way he stared. What does he want? 

Forget it! Finally, he is gone! 

B - L - I - N - K !

The electricity arrived.

I know that now, I just can't let my work on hold. If not George, then one day Peter would scold me one day for that. I am not a lazy woman. But it's like I have to rush whenever the hospital calls me.

I have only one relative and that's my mother. I can't lose her. I could never think of it. 

But now, my mother was showing good results. I was now free. I decided to work hard, whether it's home or college, I would less chatter, less waste my time and would only do one thing.

Work, Work, Work!

Just as I sat, my first motto was to cover all the pending assignments and then start the new one. I smiled and started. It took me an afternoon to complete my 3 pending works. 

After the boss, there were 3 seniors, and one was me. I was allowed to have 1 hour for the lunch break. But, I only took 10 minutes to finish my food. 

Shallie Campbell, a good friend of mine, asked me to have lunch together. I totally rejected her by explaining my problems. She is such a reasonable person. She even gave me advice and without feeling wrong, she left.

After that, I again started my work. I totally forgot that just last night, I had done something unexpectedly.

It was 5 o'clock when I completed my every work except one, that was a pink file. I stretched myself and I looked at the time. I smiled. 

I know that if I would do my work on time, nobody could point a finger over me ever. I know that only in today and tomorrow, I could finish the old task and as well as the new one which I haven't seen though.

Suddenly, my office phone rang.

I picked up and said, "Hello!"

"Come to my office!" And the phone got hung up. The voice was cold which was rare. I know who called me. It was my boss, Peter Morrison. 

I looked at his office, but he was busy at work, not looking at me. But I smile, I know why he called me. I suddenly felt pain in my lower region. I understood the fact that if you are busy, nothing will disturb you. But when you are so free, you will start feeling everything.

Now, the whole day I wasn't feeling anything. Suddenly, seeing Peter again, I started remembering last night. I blushed. I cleaned my desk, stood up and adjusted my clothes. For a moment, I opened my phone and pressed the front camera to check how I was looking?

I look Beautiful.

Knock - Knock! Knock - Knock! Knock - Knock!

I knocked on the gate. After a minute, the person inside the office said, "Hmm, come in!"

I opened the gate, smiled and blushed. "Good evening sir, may I come in?"

"Hmm!" He was cold. Only god knows why. He even ignored me when I was pleading in front of the bigboss. He even ignored me two times. Why is he acting like this?

I came and sat on the chair and smiled, "Hello sir, you called me?"

He roared, "Who told you to sit here?"

I was blank. I felt embarrassed. My smile suddenly vanished all of a sudden. My face got pale. I slowly stood up and took two steps away from the seat. His office was big, but the walls were made up of glass. Anybody could see what was happening inside.

But, I was lucky that his office was soundproof. I didn't dare to look outside who was watching us. But, I was sure that as nobody listened, so nobody was looking also. 

He said, "Miss Jenny Gomez!"

"Yes sir!"

"Have you finished all your tasks?"

I swallowed the saliva. My one old task was still incomplete. Moreover, I didn't even touch my new tasks. I said, "Sir, my old tasks are finished except one."

He folded his hands and asked in a cold voice, "Which one?"

I replied in a low tone, "That of Green Company!"

Peter straightened his back and roared, "You... You can't even finish that task? Who made you senior? I pity you every time just because you have a sick mother. Or else, I would have fired you long back."

My eyes instantly turned reddened. I sealed my lips, trying not to speak anything.

He said, "How many 'New tasks' have you finished?"

ZERO!

Zero was my answer. I just lowered my head.

He gritted his teeth and asked, "Only 8? Or 5? Don't tell me that you have only finished 3!"

I bit my lips and lowered my head. After getting no response from my side, he yelled back, "Jenny Gomez! I am not a fool enough to bark like this! I want the answer!"

My tears started dropping. I raised my head and said, "Sir, please give me two days. I would finish all the tasks. I won't disappoint you." 

He rolled his eyes and said, "Jenny, do you know the meaning of surprise inspection? Why did the big boss didn't give a surprise inspection to the other department? Why did he suddenly get interested in the Public Relation Department?

Because he has checked the data. The data showed him that we all are just wasting his money. That's why he came here. He must have checked everyone's data. That's why he looked at you and asked more.
