I watched Amelia as she slept on our bed with a frown on her lips. It's been there since yesterday when we saw her mother.

Carefully removing her arm from my chest, I got out of bed and headed to the shower to freshen up before going downstairs to make her breakfast. I grabbed everything I needed from the fridge before getting started on making us food.

Finishing off with her tea and my coffee, I placed the food carefully on a tray and picked it up ready to join Amelia. Once I turned around I found one of the maids standing behind me staring at me.

"Good morning," I said and she smiled.

"Good morning, Mr Daniels. I'm so sorry I was late to make your food," she rushed out and I only nodded.

"It's fine, I wanted to m

As soon as Jason left the bedroom, I went to take a shower and got dressed in one of his sweatshirts and my tights. Walking downstairs barefoot, I saw Rosie cleaning around Jason's office, offering her a small wave and a smile as I walked in the direction of the garden. I sat down on the bench with my legs folded underneath me, looking out here I thought it was pretty, but not as pretty as the one at my dad's house. Sighing for the umpteenth time today, I stared at the flowers with longing while a pool of thoughts swirled around in my mind. Why didn't you talk to her? my crappy excuse wasn't even enough to convince him, why didn't I talk to her? I guess I was afraid, scared of rejection, scared that this time around I would actually hear her tell me of how much she didn't want me. I know my dad said that she did,

"Wake up, Lia," he whispered softly in my ear, his arms were wrapped around my body in a tight hold and he wouldn't let go. I had been up for a whole hour staring at the same wall because I didn't want to see him leave. I heaved a sigh and slowly turned around in his arms and pressed a kiss on his forehead. "You're right, it's time to go to work," I said, unwrapping his arms. Opening up the water in the shower, I stripped out of his shirt folding it just to end up throwing it on the floor, I stared at it frowning and entered the shower feeling the scorching water burn my skin making me scream, I heard him chuckle behind me while moving the tap handle more towards the middle. "See why you can't go? I can't even open the water properly," I sobbed into my hands and he sighed, wrapping his arms around my body.

After getting myself together I got an Uber back to Jason's house, taking a deep breath in I opened the door to his house and found all the lights on meaning he was probably still home. Dragging my feet upstairs to his room, I found his door open widely but I couldn't see him anywhere. Entering the room I saw the bags on his bed and I saw movement in the closet. Placing my handbag carefully on the dresser, I walked into the closet and found him pulling out a couple of suits. "Jason," I called out and my voice came out hoarse. I don't know how but I was already shivering and I could feel my tears build up. He ignored me and I saw his jaw clench while he stopped and took a breath in. He didn't even look at me when he passed by me holding his suits in his hands.

I followed Amelia outside in hopes that she would look back one more time, or if I could just get over my pride and ask her to come back but I was filled with rage. I watched Chris take her bags from her and pack them in the trunk of his car before asking her something and she turned around looking at me once again before nodding and entering the car. He closed her door and walked over to the driver's side before giving me a hard look and shaking his head in disappointment. I'm even getting judged by a person who doesn't know the whole story, how great! The car drove away and I watched it leave with my heart. I collapsed onto the ground leaning my back on the wall bringing my knees up and crying in my hands. I couldn't believe how I just let her go after I had promised I would never, here I was. The b

Two Weeks Later "It's great to see you smiling," Aurora said as she leaned against the door. "Yeah, I enjoy being here," I said as I looked around the nursery. "Thank you for letting me help with the painting and all," I said and she smiled, shaking her head. "I like to see you happy," she shrugged, walking over to me and sitting down on the chair next to mine. "Can't she come out already," she groaned rubbing her belly and I smiled looking at it. "Don't rush my niece, she'll come out when she's ready," I said, rubbing her swollen belly. "Well, I'm more than ready!" I laughed out as she continued complaining about how she was ready to

Today was the day I had finally gotten around my plans of introducing Aurora to Rosie and hopefully would be the start of a new friendship between all of us. I just thought she worked too hard and needed a break and have some girl time with people around her age. Aurora and I were already at the coffee shop waiting for her, it was the day after I told Rick he is shit and I felt amazingly happy. "You really can't stop smiling can you?" Aurora asked, grinning as she sipped her tea. "You'll probably feel the same after you give birth to my niece and stop forcing her in," I said and she scowled, automatically rubbing her belly. "Just yesterday you were talking about leaving her inside and letting her come out whe

  • Yes, Mr Daniels   Chapter Forty-six| So Perfect?

I woke up feeling a slight ache on my back and I groaned as I laid on my stomach in my bed. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I slowly got out of bed dragging myself to the bathroom. After brushing my teeth and doing my face routine, I walked out of the bathroom to the living room and paused once I heard light snoring. Slowly walking over to the couch, I found Jason sleeping with his arm hanging from the couch, his mouth was slightly open, he looked younger in this position. I found myself bringing my hand over to his face and tracing his jawline with my finger. "Why are you so... perfect?" I whispered to myself and at that exact moment like a horror scene, a beautiful horror scene, he opened his eyes and stared right into mine. It felt like time froze just for a second but I quickly grounded myself and

I opened the door and found Jason standing by the door holding his pack of beers in his hand, putting my hand on my hip I cocked my head to the side. "I figured I might as well come to get drunk here instead of having Keith call you every night to come fetch me," he explained and I closed my eyes shaking my head. "No," I answered, getting drunk every night was now some sort of a hobby for him, every single night. "Believe me, it's easier this way and it saves you the trip," he said walking inside my apartment and placing his alcohol on the counter. "Why do you even need to get drunk every single night?" I asked him and he smiled sitting down and opened a can of beer. "Because I get to spend some time with you

"Okay, so how about, Jasper?" I asked suggestively as I laid on Jason's chest playing with the light stubble on his chin. "What does it mean?" he asked as he turned another page in the book he was reading, he looked so sexy with his glasses on, chewing on his bottom lip as he concentrated on his book and tried to give me attention as well. "Bringer of treasure, plus it's a fiery red gem that symbolises courage, endurance, and health," I explained to him watching his eyes stray from his book over to me. I still can't describe the feeling those eyes give me whenever they meet mine. "I like it," he said and his eyes roamed all over my face. "But I also like Declan," he said and my face scrunched up. Taking out the candle from the cake, I grabbed the cupcake and took a huge bite out of it. He stared at me shocked and I shrugged giggling. "I thought that was mine!" "The candle was yours," I said, still laughing, finishing off the cupcake he pouted and shook his head. "And this is delicious," I moaned with my mouthful of his cake.

She chirped, waving her hands showing me she had just changed her nails, to a mustard colour and they were coffin-shaped, they weren't bad at all but for her skin colour, they didn't really compliment her pretty fingers, she did have pretty fingers. I stared into his eyes as the hopefulness turned into worry, was he worried about what my response would be? I swear when I woke up today I didn't think it would be filled with double exciting news despite the current circumstances which by the way were about to change.
