Zelda had relaxed but was now tense again. She tried convincing Rebecca to drop the grim topic. "Why are you asking about that, Becca? What happened wasn't a pretty sight. If you find being at home boring, have your brothers or cousins take you out. Or you could garden in the backyard with me."

She didn't understand why Rebecca wanted to know what happened on that mountain. It was too horrifying to bring up.

Although Zelda hadn't witnessed the scene in person, she had seen how the paramedics carried Rachel out on the news. Even with the censoring, it was still enough to send chills down one's spine.

There weren't videos online, but Zelda had seen the written reports and heard how the authorities had dug up David's corpse for an autopsy. His blood was mixed with the soil. The entire scene was a bloody mess.
