Chapter 431 Naive

A disdainful sneer followed after a long silence.

"You're foolish and naive."

David tilted his head to one side as a smile appeared on his pale face.

A drop of water slid down from his forehead slowly. Rebecca couldn't tell if it was his sweat or the condensed water droplets from the damp cloth.

David casually wiped that drop of water away, but it did not wipe away the smile on his face.

"You've given me an earful the entire way, Ms. Johnson. I think you've described me pretty accurately. Don't you think it's dumb to talk to a madman though?

She tried to negotiate with a reckless madman and persuade him to be a good person.

What a joke.

"Since you mentioned it, it might be. But, I want to ask you, Mr. Winston …"

Rebecca paused. She mimicked David by cocking her head to one side to look at him. "What went through your mind when you rescued me from the water?"

If he were a heartless devil, why would he offer help at the clutches of death?

Wasn't it ridiculous, to think of it?
