Four

After twenty minutes, Damian arrived in front of the club and spotted Avery lying her head on the wall, while Nate was tracing his fingers on her neck.

He mumbled cursed and slammed his car door behind him.

“Avery,” he called, and both turned around.

“Dam!” Avery wanted to go to him, but Nate stopped her.

“Where are you going? Do you know him?”

“Yeah, he's my best friend,” Avery mumbled, staring at Damian, who looked like he was ready to kill someone.

“Let's go, Avery. You're drunk.” Damian grabbed her arm and put it around his shoulders.

“She was with me. I'll drive her home.” Nate said.

“No need. Go back to your party.” Damian muttered.

“You look familiar. You're at the music faculty too, right?” Nate asked.

“None of your business,” Damin mumbled before he headed back to his car.

“Just remember!” Nate shouted behind him. “Avery is mine!” he laughed and went back inside the club.

“Yours, my ass,” Damian said as he helped Avery get in the front seat of his modest black Corolla.

“Why did you drink? Are you stupid?!” Damian asked right after he started the car, heading to the college residence.

“It's uncool not to drink, Damn. I looked like an idiot.”

“The idiot is you right now. Look at you! You left the loft looking hella fine and now look at your state!”

“Hella fine?” Avery laughed. “I thought I was just not bad! Dam exposed”

Damian rolled his eyes and clenched his fists, trying hard not to punch Avery's beautiful face.

She was making him feel embarrassed right now, and he hoped she would forget everything in the morning.

“Nate did all the things I always dreamed about! He danced with me, hugged me, kissed my cheek, and even kissed my neck! But I felt uncomfortable.” Avery pouted.

“He kissed your neck?” Damian tensed. “Son of a bitch.” he mumbled.

“It was so weird, Dam. He said I smelt good.”

After a long ride, they finally arrived at the parking lot. Damian turned around to wake Avery up, but she was sleeping peacefully. With pouting lips and her red cheeks, she looked like an angel.

Damian sighed and took her black beany off to let her scalp breath.  He took a small blanket from the rear seat and covered her.

He lowered their seats and closed his eyes.

Better sleeping in the car than waking up Avery. Yes, man.

The next day, Damian woke up with Avery's loud sobs. He opened his eyes slowly and turned to look at her.

“Avery?” he spoke with his husky morning voice. “What's wrong?”

“My head hurts a lot!” Avery sobbed. “I—I feel like Bob the Builder and his team are inside my head!”

“Bob the Builder? What are y—!” Damian widened his eyes when he realized what was happening. “Illy, is that you?” he asked and the girl nodded, tears still falling from her eyes.

“I see,” Damian sighed. “Let's go home first. I'll make you a hangover soup and you'll shower.”

“What's a hangover soup? I hate soups!” Avery whined.

“This soup will stop your headache, you idiot.” Damian rolled his eyes and got out of the car.

Damian nearly killed Illy when she dropped the soup on the floor on purpose, and when she bit his arm. He was thankful that Elias left the loft early for his morning class.

“I—I don't know how to shower.”

“What?!”

“Can you help me?” Illy pouted.

“No way! There is no way I would do this shit too! No way!”

“Damian! You said a bad word!” Illy covered her mouth.

“Shut up!”

“Shower me!”

“I won't!”

“Please!”

“No way!”

“Please daddy!”

“No, what?!” Damian nearly choked on his saliva.

“Shower me, daddy.”

“Don't call me daddy, okay? Just don't.” Damian nervously rubbed the back of his neck.

“Why not? You always take care of me, so you're my daddy!” Illy exclaimed, her eyes shining.

Damian cringed as it was unusual to hear that word from his best friend.

“I know, Illy, but it's not alright to call me like that. Call me Dam, okay?”

Tears started to fall from Illy’s eyes. She pouted and sat on the floor before she started sobbing.

“Hey! Don't cry!” Damian widened his eyes.

“I wanted to call you like this because I have no daddy!” Illy cried. “You're the only one I have.”

Damian’s heart broke as he watched her cry. He bit his lower lip and knelt in front of her to wipe her tears with his sleeves and cup her red cheeks, trying hard to show her his best smile.

“You, uh, you can call me daddy.” He spoke softly, making Illy grin.

“Thank you, daddy!” Illy jumped on him until they both fell on the floor.

“Illy, get off me please!”

“Okay, daddy! Sorry!”

“Now to the shower.” Damian said before heading to the bathroom.

“Don't take off your underwear!” Damian shouted when Illy was about to get fully naked.

“Why not daddy? I can't shower with it.”

“I know, but—” Damian rubbed his hair. “Please keep it on.”

“It’s okay. You’re my daddy!”

“Yeah, but it’s not okay for daddy to see your, uh, your secret places, right?” Damian smiled awkwardly.

“I like secrets daddy,” Illy smirked.

You don't know how much I like them too. Damian thought.

“Hot! Hot! It's hot, daddy!” Illy screamed when Damian tried to wash the soap from his body.

“Sorry. I'll make it colder.”

Damian bit his lip as he watched Avery's wet body. He saw his best friend naked before, but he was never that close to her. He never touched her.

Her skin was soft and her body looked nice. Damian was the one who encouraged her to work out, and he was proud that he did.

“Are you okay daddy? It's been more than 5 min that you were looking at me.” Illy said, waking him up from his reverie.

“Uh? Oh,” Damian blushed.

“Am I pretty daddy?” Illy smirked, making him blush more.

“W—what are you saying?” he chuckled nervously.

“Am I?” Illy asked again.

Damian rubbed the back of his neck and smiled. “Y—yeah. You are pretty Ave—I mean Illy.”

Illy smiled excitedly and kissed Damian's cheek, covering it with water. He gulped and stood still like a statue. Avery never kissed him before.

Hugs were the most intimate moments they had before, so receiving a kiss, and feeling her lips touching his skin was another story. It was strange, weird, unusual, but very sensual and relaxing.

Damian internally cursed himself for thinking like this. He cleared his throat and quickly finished washing Illy's hair before wrapping her in a giant towel, covering every inch of her body. He didn't want to sin even more.

He took a shower after her and prepared himself for classes.

“I have classes right now, so I want you to stay kind while I'm out, okay?” he asked Illy, who was watching cartoons.  He chuckled, looking at how cute she was floating in a big black sweater.

“Okay, daddy.”

“Don't touch anything. Behave well, and be a good girl. Okay?”

“Okay!”

“Where is Avery?” Nate asked Damian, who was looking for his USB inside his locker.

“Since when have we started talking at the faculty?” Damian raised an eyebrow.

“Where is Avery? I asked you, and you should answer.” Nate rolled his eyes.

“Why are you asking about her?”

Nate sighed and slammed the locker door, startling Damian. “I had enough of your stupid questions.” He muttered, coldly. “Where is Avery?”

“Her loft,” Damian mumbled, not wanting any problems.

“She didn't go to her classes his morning. Is she sick?”

“I don't know. Maybe she's just tired.” Damian lied.

“Anyways, I'll text her,” Nate said, staring at his phone.

“Nate!” A bunch of girls were calling him, staring at him with heart eyes and asking him to go to them.

Damian rolled his eyes.

“By the way,” Nate started, after flashing the girls his seductive smile. “What's your relationship with her?” he asked.

“It's none of your business,” Damian answered coldly before leaving the department.

“Did you see Avery?” he met Emmett outside.

“What the fuck? Why is everyone asking for her today?” Damian frowned.

“I’m sorry, Dam. It’s because I didn't see her in class.” Emmett said shyly.

“She skipped all the classes?” Damian asked, thinking that maybe his best friend was still not back to her body.

Emmett nodded, “I'm worried about her. She skipped a lot of classes lately, and she also skipped one dance class that day.”

“Yeah, she's tired lately, but don't worry,” Damian said.

“Can you ask her to call me tonight? I need to tell her something,” Emmett blushed, making Damian stare at him with confusion.

“Why? I mean, yeah, okay. I'll tell her.”

“Thanks,”

“Everyone is making me confused today.” Damian sighed.

“Damian Foster come to our loft right now!” Emma screamed through the phone.

“What? Why? What's happening?! Is Avery okay? Is she sick?!” Damian dropped his laptop, worried about his friend.

“No! But just fucking come!”

Damian closed his and Elias's shared loft's door and ran to the other block.

“Thank god, you came! I'm going crazy here!” Emma sighed, resting her hand on her chest.

“What's wrong? Oh shit!” Damian widened his eyes when he saw the mess inside the loft.

Everything was upside down.
Milk was spread on the floor, there was chocolate on the couch, draws on the walls and broken glass in the kitchen.

“I don't know what the fuck happened here. Who does she think she is? I don't know how much alcohol she had, but that's too much!” Emma shouted furiously.

“Y—yeah, I know,” Damian shook his head.

“And I'm not ready to clean everything. I already do the majority of the chores, and I cook every day. I'm not her maid for fuck’s sake!” Emma shouted.

“Plus, I'm so stressed and busy with my studies! It's my last year, and I have a project to work on. This little shit isn't helping me at all!”

“And she was acting so weird lately, making things more complicated. I was glad she was my roommate, but now I'm starting to regret it. I love Avery, but this is too much.” she sighed.

“I understand,” Damian mumbled. “I'm sorry for what she did.”

“You don't have to, Damian. It's not your fault. I only need you to talk to her.”

“I have a proposition,” Damian said.

“And what is it?”

“How about we switch? You live with Elias. He's usually quiet, so you'll be able to concentrate on your project, and I'll stay here with Avery. Is it alright?”

Emma rubbed her chin and smiled, thinking about sharing a room with Elias.

“You don't seem to hate this idea, do you?” Damian smirked, making her blush.

“Okay, deal!” Emma exclaimed. “I'll go pack my things. I don't have too much stuff, so I'll be out in 30 min.”
