Chapter Sixty Six
She left the doctor's office feeling even more dejected than she was when she went in. Sadly, it wasn't the news she had been expecting. Actually what she had expected was either a yes — to a successful surgery operation — or heaven's forbid it, a negative answer. Now, she had to wait around for that answer. After two long hours if trepidation, she might be waiting for what might be days. Her expression was sullen. Just as Theresa, the tears in her eyes had dried up. How to feel going about the days knowing that the news with Sam might eventually come out negative was a huge puzzle to her. One she had no clue on how to solve. Suddenly, all the positivity she might have been feeling before now disappeared. It was supposed to be hope and she was supposed to bank on the that fifty percent chance of survival but she couldn't help but think about the other fifty percent and how the hell she was going to deal with it if it ever happened.

It was the buzzing sound of her phone that woke her up that morning. She had slept off on the couch last night. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her palm and reached for the back she had thrown to the sofa yesterday, digging dip into her bag for her phone. She found it and turned the damn thing off, it was her alarm that she had set to remind her to actually wake up on a Saturday morning. It was usually set for ten thirty during the weekends. When she remembered that she would be expecting a call from Margaret, she immediately turned the phone back on. She hadn't gone through it since last night so she seized to opportunity to do so. Who knows? Margaret might have given her a call. As expected there were a lot of her calls from most of her colleagues at work. As well as an equal amount of text messages, asking about what had happened and if she was okay. She glanced through some but didn't reply them as she was in state of mind to come up with a reply other than, 'I'm fine.' And

Hey Guys.To the amazing ladies and gents, I'm using this medium to appreciate the lot of you who have taken and dedicated your time to read and review my book, Wrenched. I'm saying a very big thank you to you all, with a wide smile on my face.I would also like to let y'all know that I see and appreciate the constructive criticism in the reviews. Wrenched is unedited and sometimes I go through the chapters and edit certain grammatical errors and misspelt words. But I haven't officially delved into editing the chapters yet. The first few chapters are pretty much error free because I have gone over those ones a lot, but the other chapters, especially the recently updated ones I understand they'll be a lot of mistakes, and I apologise for them.
