Minah shifted her gaze to Vincent who was sitting at the end of the table. There was a mischievous smirk etched across his lips, while Ava remained silent in her seat, her eyes were taunting, nevertheless.

“You’re late…” Ava spoke, glaring at her.

She tried her best to act calm when she sat on a chair that the waiter pulled out for her. Ava's eyelid may turn upside down, but she wouldn’t give a fuck. She hasn't even spared her a glance since, afraid that her eyes will meet Tobias's again. The latter was settled just across from her.
