The day went by with Julia and Jason spending their entire day inside their room. Later that night, while Julia was sleeping, a hand covered her mouth and a knife was placed under her chin. She opened her eyes in shock but could not see who it was as the room was dark. "Sssh, a sound from you and this knife will split your throat, do you understand?" came a husky male voice. Julia nodded, but the corners of her eyes were quickly filled with tears as she trembled in fear. "Now, you are going to get up from this bed and quietly walk with me out of this room," the man said in the same tone, and Julia nodded. Julia got up from the bed, placing her feet on the floor with a knife under her chin. She stood up, and the man had the opportunity to get behind her and, still with the knife under her chin, led her to the door. Julia's hands hang loosely on her side as she slightly opens them apart, more like in surrender. Walking past the bedside stand, Julia slowly grabbed the lamp in the dar
Another guard took a pocket knife from the table and the man's eyes widened, wondering what they were going to do to him. His eyes shifted to Jason, who had a sinister smile plastered on his face. "What are you going to do?" the man asked, sounding agitated. "Huh, I have not started anything, and you just lost your nerves," Jason sneered. Peter put a drop of what was in the container, which was still making a fizzy sound, on the ground and there was smoke. They all quickly put on a mask as the liquid produces more smoke as it burns the ground. The man started coughing because he was without a mask. They all removed their masks after a minute when the liquid was done burning. That part of the floor turned dark. "The next drop will be on your wound," Jason said. "I don't have any wound," said the man, trembling in his seat. Jason just moved his gaze to the guard holding the pocket knife and the man gulped. "Now that my terms are clearly communicated, are you ready to talk?" que
"Yes, but I want him to start coming with you to work moving forward, and learn about the company so you two can manage it together," Mrs Haward said, and Jason just stared at her. "Look, Jason, your father gave James some business to manage, but you know he is a bit clumsy. I need you to teach him to manage those businesses, so they don't collapse," Mrs Haward explained further when Jason was silent. "Mum, you know James. He doesn't like the office kind of work. I would rather suggest you allow him to follow his dreams. I have checked, and the businesses entrusted to his care are already doing well. Father, put everything in place so that, with or without any management, the business would not collapse. He can remain the CEO and pursue his dreams," Jason responded. "So, he honestly thinks my son is a failure in the business world," Mrs Haward thought and was furious, but didn't show it. "I am not asking you to educate me on James. He is your brother and all I am asking is for you
After staying home for two days, Julia was ready to return to work, and it was the same day James was also going with Jason to work after his mother, Mrs Haward, convinced him to take James to work with him. Julia was already up and ready for work. She put on a simple black dress, with two fastened buttons at the front and a zipper at the back. The style was so simple; it didn't make her the centre of attraction, but equally didn't hide her like a backdrop. She stepped out of the room and quickly went downstairs, as Jason had already left the room. Upon getting to the stairs, she surveyed the place as she descended to make sure she didn't run into any of Jason's relatives. Reaching the last stairs, she quickly made her way to the door and went out of the building. Jason saw her back as she was running towards the door, and he frowned, but he didn't stop her either. He had just come out of his study. "Good morning, sir," greeted the servant who had just entered the living room. "Good
"Relax, I'm not going to bite," James said and slipped his hand down her shoulder to her chest. Julia quickly got up from the seat, but James quickly pulled her back onto the seat, forcing her head up by holding her jaw. "Funny you want to act decent now," James said with a smirk, tilting his head to the side. He locked Julia's neck with his arms like he was going to choke her. Julia held his arms with both hands, trying to break free. With his other free hand, he went under her dress and into her bra and fondled her peaches. Julia tensed up and tried to take his hand out, but the more she tried, the harder he pressed her throat with his hand, making her cough. Tears streamed down Julia's face as she couldn't stop him from harassing her. She couldn't scream either, as she was afraid of what they would do to her. James finally removed his hand from under her dress after what felt like a forever torment for her. "You can fool Jason, not me," James said, letting go of her. "I could fee
When Jason entered the living room, the first person he saw was James. Without a word, he punched him so hard in the face, that James's nose fractured immediately, and he fell to the floor. "Jason! What is wrong with you?" Mirenda yelled and quickly went to James, who was now recovering from the punch. Mrs Haward quickly came out of her room, hearing the fall accompanied by Mirenda's yelling. "What is going on here?" Mrs Haward questioned, but Jason said nothing. He turned to walk away. "Jason, I am talking to you," Mrs Haward yelled before Jason could exit the apartment. Jason slowly turned to face Mrs Haward; his face red with anger. "Well, it so happens, that Playboy here doesn't know the meaning of out of bonds," he said angrily. "So, you hit your elder brother because he entered a place he wasn't supposed to?" Mrs Haward questioned angrily. "Mum, I think you should let him tell you what exactly he did to my wife," Jason replied, pointing to James, who was now sitting on the
The closing of the door caused Julia to turn, coming face to face with James, who looked at her smiling sinisterly. "So, you decided to talk to my brother, right?" James questioned. "You see what you did?" he said, pointing to the plaster on his nose bridge and his upper lip was also bruised. "You are going to pay for it," James said, took two more steps towards Julia and held her neck, pushing her against the cabinet behind her. "By the time I am done with you, you will wish you had never said anything to Jason," James said, releasing Julia and rubbing her cheeks with the back of his hand, James stared at Julia, and she was looking at him sternly, but James could read from Julia's eyes she was scared even though she was putting up a strong front. James touched Julia's lips with his thumb and was inching closer, but she turned her face away and James chuckled. He smiled and left the storage room. Julia stood frozen for a while before leaving the room with the design she had come to
Mrs Haward smiled while reading the message and finally laid down to sleep with a smile plastered on her face. In the morning, Jason and Julia stepped out of the room already dressed and ready for work. Jason wanted Julia to eat breakfast before they left the house, so they went to the dining area. Mrs Haward joined them a few minutes later, followed by Grandpa and Mirenda, who walked in at the same time with Grandpa trailing behind Mirenda. "Where is your brother," asked Mrs Haward. "He didn't come home last night," Mirenda replied. "I thought I heard him," Mrs Haward said, and Mirenda shrugged her shoulders. "Flea, how are you?" Mrs Haward asked, looking at Julia, but Julia kept her head down. Jason shot his mother a look as he placed a hand on Julia's hand, assuring her he was with her. "What, is it a crime to greet?" Mrs Haward asked, looking at Jason. "Mum, please, she is my wife and her name is Julia. Please don't call her by any other name," Jason said, sounding serious,
