Meanwhile, back in Haward's apartment, Fiona was in the bathroom using another phone to text Vera. Vera, they know. Please lay low for now Fiona clicked send and read on the phone screen 'sent'. She took out the sim from the phone and dropped it into the toilet bowl. She dismantled the phone and started breaking the parts into pieces, dropping them into the toilet bowl. When she could not break the phone any further, she used the toilet plunger to push the bigger parts of the phone pieces away and flashed the toilet ensuring it was clean. "Sweetheart," came James's voice from behind the door. "Yes," Fiona responded walking towards the door but James entered with a smile plastered on his face. "Are you alright?" James asked his eyes scanning the bathroom which appeared to be clean. Nothing is out of place. Fiona walked towards James and hugged him resting her head on his chest. "What is happening to me? Who am I?" Fiona asked her voice very soft and low. "Nothing. You just bu
"You are the very person I wanted to see. We are on," Mrs Haward announced and Mori smiled. "So what next?" asked Mori. "We patiently wait for his call. Anyway, how is it going with Fiona?" Mrs Haward asked. "Something doesn't seem right?" Mori said looking in the direction of Fiona's room briefly. "What do you mean?" asked Mrs Haward as she pulled Mori towards the study. "I know the medication I gave her like the back of my hand. I went online to read about the medication we gave her earlier to make her lose the pregnancy and she is not supposed to get that kind of reaction. Both medications were administered at good intervals," Mori said. "So you mean, she is faking it?" asked Mrs Haward as she closed the door to the study. "Yes. This morning, I went to serve her breakfast. She asked James to send me away which he did. I left the food on the table as instructed by James and left the room. I was on the balcony when I saw a liquid spilt out the window," Mori informed Mrs Haw
Julia frowned staring at the person whose smile kept becoming broader. "Good morning Mr Haward, Ms Harrison," greeted Mary still smiling. Julia looked at her hand and saw she was carrying a small travelling bag. She frowned and briefly looked at Jason before turning her gaze to Mary still wondering what she was doing there with her bag. "Is everything alright Mary?" Julia asked surprised but also concerned. "Yes, everything is fine," Mary replied with a smile. "Okay, so what brought you here this early morning?" Julia asked. "Mr Haward asked me to bring all your stuff together with mine, here," Mary replied still smiling and Julia's eyes widened turning to look at Jason who appeared to be well composed. "Jason, did you ask her to do that?" Julia asked with traces of anger in her voice. "Yes," Jason replied calmly. "Jason, what makes you think I want to move in with you? I have had enough of your bullying attitude. Can't I have the freedom to decide for myself for once? M
The guard called Mori and informed her, that Fiona was coming back. She quickly finished what she was doing and left the room locked. As soon as she entered her room, Fiona also entered the living room and walked straight to her bedroom unaware her room just got bugged. Fiona sat down on her bed thinking of what to do next. "These people brought me here for a reason, and they already know I faked my pregnancy. I need to quickly come up with a plan before they know I am faking my memory loss." Fiona thought. "The video is not enough. I need something more," she bit on her nail in deep thought. "Wait!, Jason, I need to get in touch with Jason, he can do something with this video," Fiona thought and got up from the bed. She walked towards the door and exited the room. She walked into the living room and exited the living room onto the balcony. "Now how do I get in touch with Jason," she thought as she sat on the chair resting her head on her hand folded behind her. At Paradise Ho
Jason nodded and knocked on the door. "Mirenda?" Jason called out to her and knocked on the door again. Henry was standing behind Jason, just inches away, his face full of concern as he waited to see if Mirenda would open the door. "Mirenda, is me, Jason, please open the door," Jason said and they both heard the door unlocking. The doorknob turned and the door opened slightly. Jason pushed it open and proceeded to enter. "I will keep Julia company," Henry said and Jason responded with a 'hmm' before entering Mirenda's room. The room was nicely decorated with a pot of flowers sitting close to the window. The scent from the flower gave the room a refreshing scent. The bed had curtains around it which had been dropped down except for where Mirenda was sitting. She had her head lowered and was holding something in her hand. Her hair was let down and unkept. She looked a little skinny. She had not been eating. Jason stood there for a while observing her. "Mirenda," Jason called out
Back in the living room, Mrs Haward, Mori and James were celebrating Jason losing the Hotel with drinks in hand. The noise of their celebration went straight to Fiona's room and she decided to come out of her room. She wanted to know more about what was going on without asking. "James," Fiona called out as she took slow steps towards the living room where the celebration was going on. "James," she called out again but James could not hear her amidst all the noise they were making with the clinking of glasses, laughter and loud chatting. Fiona walked into the living room and stopped a couple of inches away from the celebrating group, eyes moving from Mori to Mrs Haward and finally resting on James who was pouring a glass of wine down his throat. Mori was first to turn to see Fiona standing just a couple of inches away from them and she frowned. "Let's get some more drinks," James shouted and his gaze fell on Fiona. "Hey, babe, what are you doing there, I thought you were resting
"Sir, we had a challenge with the system in the night. So all bookings were manually done," reported the night receptionist. Peter looked at the time on his laptop screen and it was 6 a.m. His shift had ended and the one to take over was already in. "Is Thomas in?" Peter asked. "Yes sir, he is already at his post," the receptionist replied. "Get him and both of you come to my office," instructed Peter. "Greetings, is your boss around," came a deep male voice. "Yes please," replied Thomas. His working colleague arrived on the scene and patiently waited for Thomas to finish attending to the guest before he engaged him. "By your boss, I mean Mr Haward," repeated the man in his deep voice. "Mr Haward has not arrived yet sir but his PA is around," replied the night receptionist on behave of his colleague Thomas. "Okay, we would like to see him then," requested the man. "Yes, please," replied Thomas and he quickly led them to Peter's office. "Sir," Thomas called out as soon
Jason's eyes widened and he tensed up quickly even though he remained composed staring at the person before him. "I am Vera, a friend of the journalist who hosted your brother James on the TV show," Vera introduced as she dropped her disguise on the empty seat before her."So you are a woman? Why the male disguise?" Jason asked already feeling uncomfortable."I am hiding from your brother James," Vera replied. "Can I sit?" she asked."Sure," replied Jason coldly. If it is James, Jason knows it has everything to do with abuse or harassment."Fiona is the name of the journalist who hosted James on the TV show. She believes you can help us. Can you?" Vera asked with urgency."Depends on what kind of help you are asking of me," Jason replied trying his best to remain calm.Jason picked up his phone and unlocked the screen. He went into his gallery and clicked on Julia's image which immediately covered his phone screen. With the phone almost beneath the table, he just stared at Julia's ima
