Chapter 65: Troubles Ugly Head

"What is it?" came Aiden's unwelcoming voice as he sat behind his desk in his office.

"You have a visit from your mum," Amanda announced and Aiden frowned. "Are you coming home?" she asked.

"I am at work and my mum knows that. I will be home after work," Aiden replied and ended the call before Amanda could say anything else.

"What does she want? I thought they cut me off?" Aiden thought. "This looks like troubles ugly head," he thought rolling a pen through his fingers.

A gentle knock on his door interrupted his thought. Aiden's gaze focused on the door waiting to see who would enter after he invited the person in.

"Good morning, sir. The meeting room is ready for your 8:30 and the clients have arrived," Ana reported holding a file close to her chest.

"Thank you," Aiden acknowledged and stood up from behind his desk. "How does my day look?" he asked walking towards his tea table.
