Back at Aiden's apartment, Ana was done with the cleaning of the bathroom. Amanda gave Ana, the heavy curtains in her room and that of Aiden's to wash with her hands. Ana said nothing but sat down with a bowl in front of her and started washing eight double curtains with her hands using cake soap. Her hands were getting sore with the rubbing but Amanda would not let her go. Ana finished washing the clothes after 1 p.m. Amanda tasked her to iron all her clothes in her closet. Ana just stared at her. "Move and get to work. You have one more bathroom to scrub and you will be done for today," Amanda said as if that was a consolation. Ana went into the ironing room with hangers and started ironing. Her feet were hurting and she had not eaten all day since she woke up at 6 a.m. At the senator's office, Mr Scott was going through a rehearsal for his first public appearance. "Are you ready?" Mr Thatcher asked. "I think I am," Mr Scott replied with a smile. "Great, let's go," Mr Tha
Inside Amanda's room, Amanda's phone was on her bed while she was lying in a hot bath. Her phone buzzed with a notification but she didn't hear. Aiden entered the living room and frowned seeing the TV was on and no one was watching it. He turned it off and headed upstairs to his bedroom. Aiden opened the door to his bedroom and was greeted by a scrubbing sound coming from the bathroom. The curtains in his room were also gone. He frowned wondering why the servants would choose to clean his room that late. He headed for the bathroom and opened the door to find Ana on her knees scrubbing the floor with just water. "What are you doing?" Aiden asked."Cleaning," Ana replied after pausing on the scrubbing.Aiden noticed her hands were all red. He drew closer and grabbed Ana's hand to examine before he could stop himself. Ana was still on her knees but upright looking at Aiden. Aiden looked at both of her hands and they were all sore. "Why are you doing this?" Aiden asked letting go of Ana
Amanda was in her room on the phone with her father. "Dad, there is a servant girl here pregnant for Aiden," Amanda announced. "Wait, what are you saying?" Mr Thatcher asked. "I am saying, Aiden is having an extramarital affair. Would you believe it if I tell you, Aiden doesn't sleep in the same room with me and has not even touched me once since our wedding," Amanda complained. "And what is his reason?" Mr Thatcher asked. "He said, he will invite me to his room when he needs me. Meanwhile, he spends each night with the servant girl. Today, I caught this servant girl sneaking into Aiden's room at 5 a.m.," Amanda said. "And the girl is pregnant for him?" Mr Thatcher asked. "Yes," Amanda replied. "How far is her pregnancy?" Mr Thatcher asked. "What do you need that for?" Amanda asked. "I am getting a feeling, the whole marriage thing is a scam. If the servant is more than a month pregnant, it will only mean, Aiden's parents knew about her," Mr Thatcher said. "I will get you
"Oh my god, I am in Mr Scott's room," Ana thought not sure how to get down from the bed. Ana opened the bed curtain, just a little and peeped through to look at Aiden lying on the sofa. He was lying face up with one hand resting on his forehead, and the other holding the blanket covering him up to just a little bit above his lower torso. The sofa was close to the door. Ana got out of bed, using the other side and slowly tip-toed towards the door with the hope Aiden would still be sleeping. "Are you just going to sneak out without saying thank you?" came Aiden's deep voice. Ana froze in her steps with her hands stretched towards the doorknob. She cleared her throat and tried to say something but was not sure what to say. Aiden sat up on the sofa and turned to look at Ana standing next to the sofa. "I am not your babysitter," Aiden said. "I am sorry. I didn't mean for any of what happened yesterday to happen. I was just doing what Mrs Scott asked me to do," Ana said. "Mrs Scott," A
Mrs Morrison was so angry she forgot they were only using this plan to enrich themselves at the expense of Ana and also she forgot all about Ana's pregnancy. "I am so sorry my dear. I am not sure what came over me," Mrs Morrison apologised, sounding honest. "I endured severe pain last night. I couldn't sleep. I don't know why my temper is like this," she added almost in tears. "I am sorry, mum. I will send the money over today. Forgive me for making you feel bad," Ana apologizes feeling sorry for making Mrs Morrison feel bad. They spoke for a while before the call ended. In the living room, Amanda left for her room after watching the news on TV for a while. Aiden turned off the TV and was heading towards the front door when Ana hurried her steps to meet him. "Mr Scott," Ana called out. "I told you to ensure you don't run into me. You are breaking the rule, Ana," Aiden said. "I am sorry Mr Scott. I just wanted to seek your permission to see my mum," Ana requested. "What time do y
'He is suspicious. Forget Aiden and deal with him. We need to act now. Remember, no mistakes. Do a clean job' He typed, read through and sent it. After receiving an acknowledgement. He took the SIM card out of the phone and destroyed it. He walked to the sink after and washed his hands before exiting the washroom to join the others beaming with smiles. The whole programme came to an end and Mr Scott left with his wife back to their apartment after a couple of meetings with some government officials. Mr Thatcher exited the conference room to find his daughter's car also parked next to his. "Did they see you coming in?" Mr Thatcher asked, referring to Mr and Mrs Scott. "No, I don't think so. I came from the opposite direction. I saw their car joining the road while I was a couple of distance away," Amanda replied. "Good. Come sit with me," Mr Thatcher said pointing to his car. "Okay," Amanda said and asked her driver to follow them in her car. Amanda and her father sat in the b
"I understand. No mistakes," the man repeated what the person on the other end of the call had said before ending the call. The man remained in the car watching Mr Thatcher and his daughter on his phone tablet. He plugged in the hearing device and listened in on their conversation.Inside the apartment, in the dining area, Amanda tried to find out what her father was planning. "Dad, I know you didn't believe what Mr Scott told you. What are you planning?" Amanda asked."I will have to see the president, to remove Mr Scott from office but I need evidence to prove my claim," Mr Thatcher said. Amanda wanted to give all the information she had found on Ana to Mr Thatcher but that would only make him change his mindset about Aiden. She wanted her father to believe Aiden was having an affair with another woman."Do you already have someone doing that?" Amanda asked."Starting tomorrow, I will have one of my men keep an eye on him," Mr Thatcher said. "You can also have the secretary keep
Aiden will have to come out of the bathroom eventually and she will be there waiting for him. The drug she had given him would take hours to wear off. Unless he intend to stay in the shower for the next couple of hours, he would have to come out. Amanda smiled making herself comfortable on Aiden's bed. "Aiden why get your hands tired when I am here," Amanda said. Back in Ana's room, Aiden was in bed with Ana, lost in permission. Ana was confused and didn't know what to do but allowed the passion to consume her. Aiden may appear to be very hard and one without emotions, but when it comes to bringing a woman's desire up to the surface, he does have a couple of tricks up his sleeves. Back in Aiden's room, Amanda was beginning to doubt if Aiden was in the bathroom. She exited the room and came to Ana's but it was locked. She placed her ears on the door and heard a muffled sound. It sounded like someone in pain. Amanda had confused Ana's muffled cry thinking it was because of what she pu
He recognized her immediately and hugging Ana, he called out to the woman. "Monica?" Aiden called out causing Monica to freeze in her steps. Monica turned slowly to face Aiden. The two guards who were following her just moved to the side. Aiden was surprised to see Monica with guards and wearing expensive clothing complimented with expensive jewellery. Last they spoke on the phone, she had only confirmed she took money to divorce him. Was it because she found someone richer than him? This was the thought on Aiden's mind as he stared at Monica while hugging Ana with a cold expression. "Mr Scott, I understand you hate me right now. All I can say is that maybe we were not meant to be. In front of you right now is a woman with a heart of gold. Please take good care of her and protect her from your enemies," Monica said and Aiden frowned. He was with Monica and knew her very well. He understood the meaning of her statement despite the obvious and he frowned. "Are you saying someone thr
"Ms Ana boarded a taxi. They have picked up the details of the taxi. They will contact the driver and find out where he dropped Ana," Mr Jayson said and Aiden ran his hands through his hair. "Just calm down, we will find her. The good news is those who would want to harm her are all in prison. She is safe," Mr Jayson assured. "No, I have one more enemy walking free. Even if there is enough evidence to put him in prison, he is still walking free," Aiden said. "How dangerous is this person?" Mr Jayson asked and Aiden gave the question a thought. Mr Harper may be cunning and a pervert but aside from stealing money, he will not really consider him as one who will use knives and guns. "Never mind. I think I am just worried," Aiden replied. Mr Jayson's phone rang again and his gaze shifted to the phone. He answered it and brought the phone to his ears. "Great," he said and ended the call. "They found the driver. He dropped your wife off at the park. They are on their way there," Mr Ja
Meanwhile, Ana after resting for a while, packed her stuff and left Aiden a note as she made her way towards the exit. She then gave the apartment one last look and rubbed her belly as she walked out the front door. "I stayed back in your time of need to ensure you're restored to your former glory since it was at my side you lost it all. Now that you are back to the level where we met, you don't have to guilt yourself into being with me. I hope you will understand," Ana whispered to herself as she walked towards the gate. She checked her bag to ensure she had enough cash on her. In her mind, she was planning how she was going to live on her own. No job, no roof over her head. Well, this was her life before she met Aiden except she had the woman she thought was her mother and a little sister. They all lived in a small apartment but now she was all alone. She walked out the gate but stopped when she heard someone calling her. "Ma'am, do you need me to help you with your bag?" aske
"Let's get out of here before the media gets here," Aiden said and got behind the wheel with Ana sitting next to him. They drove out of the compound and Aiden took Ana to his private apartment downtown. He parked the car in the garage and walked through the front door into the apartment. The last time they were there, they had to come through the back door and hide in the underground apartment. "A lot of work needs to be done here," Ana said. "Yes, but we will not live here. I prefer the apartment on the hill. It is close to my estate business," Aiden said. "So what is going to happen to this apartment?" Ana asked leaning on the side of Aiden and Aiden's hand was wrapped around her. "Clean it up and put it on the market. I already have too many apartments. I reduce them to two," Aiden said. "Okay," Ana said and Aiden walked Ana to the sofa. "I need you to get some rest. Some people will be here in the next 10 minutes to put the house in order. I have to take care of something
"Now all I need is a good lawyer to wiggle my way out of this mess and leave this state after I have united Aiden with his parents," Mr Scott thought. Aiden returned to Mr Jayson's office and closed the door behind him. He walked towards his desk and made himself comfortable with a smile plastered on his face. "You got a confession out of him?" Mr Jayson said looking at Aiden. "I told you I would get a confession out of him," Aiden said. "My father was right, he only learns and becomes smarter after multiple fails," he added and pulled his phone out of his breast pocket and played the recording to the hearing of Mr Jayson. "We don't need the results from that DNA. This confession is perfect. Great you thought fast. If not we will have to start a search for Mr Andrew Scott's body," Mr Jayson said. "I am surprised though how he managed to bury the wrong body in the presence of all," Aiden said. "That is easy. The body was carried from one point to another in a vehicle. Within that
"We have the world's attention. We can go out now. We go to court with the rest of the evidence to claim what is rightfully ours," Aiden said holding Ana's hand in his. The two exited the underground apartment and went out of the building. Aiden requested a ride to the courthouse. At the court, Aiden filed the case to begin the lawsuit. Aiden requested protection following the multiple attacks on his life and that of his wife and it was granted. At the president's office, Mr Scott was sitting on the sofa with the president who was not at all happy with what was going on. "Mr Scott, do you mind explaining what is going on between you and Aiden Scott?" he asked. "Mr President. Believe me. It is just a family misunderstanding which had gone out of hand," Mr Scott said. "If I remember correctly, Aiden Scott's name was dragged all over the internet, losing his business, his marriage in shambles and some rumours that say he is not your son. Now you are in the news and you have been ca
Mr and Mrs Scott's eyes widened as they listened to the news. The news started spreading like wildfire and everyone asked where Mr Jeremy Scott was if he was still alive. "No, no, this is not good," Mrs Scott said with eyes widened. Mr Scott fetched his phone, dialled a number and waited for the call to connect. "I thought you said you were controlling the media space," Mr Scott said through gritted teeth. "Yes, but believe me. I don't know how this got out there. I have my eyes everywhere but I didn't see this one," the person replied. "I am working on it but someone is posting the story when I take it down," he added. "Do something about it," Mr Scott said and ended the call but his phone rang. "I am going to the office. I will get this taken care of before it gets out of hand," Mr Scott said and exited the room. "As usual I have to take care of everything," Mrs Scott scoffed as soon as her husband exited the room. She fetched her phone, dialled a number and waited for the c
A medical practitioner who was at the entrance saw Mr Jayson falling to the ground and he ran to him calling for help. "He had been shot," the man shouted as held Mr Jayson in his arms. A stretcher was quickly brought out of the hospital and he was carried into the emergency. Meanwhile, Aiden and Ana were both waiting for Mr Jayson to return. After waiting for a while, Aiden decided to go look for him. As soon as he opened the door, the doctor who had provided them the space was standing behind the door. "Mr Jayson was just shot outside the hospital," the doctor said. "What?" Aiden exclaimed "By who?" he asked. "We are not sure but we are suspecting a snipper," the doctor replied. "Stay here, it is not safe outside," he added and left. "They know we are here," Aiden said to Ana. "We can't stay here. It is only a matter of time before they find us. Let's go I know what to do," he said and they both stepped out of the storage room and headed in a different direction. Aiden saw
"When and how?" Aiden thought as he walked towards the bed and sat on it thinking of what to do. He exited the room and went to the balcony. He held the railing and stared ahead of himself. He leaned on the railing and turned to look at the space behind him. He looked briefly at the light bulb hanging from the roof and he realized it had been changed. The bulb had a camera now. Originally, the bulb had that black ring at the base but it was just for decoration. Now the black ring appears to have a focus. "So this is how the person is watching us," Aiden thought and exited the balcony and saw Ana entering the living room from outside. "You went for a walk?" Aiden asked. "Yes," Ana replied. "Without me?" Aiden asked walking towards her. "I am sorry, I didn't want to disturb you," Ana replied and sat down on the sofa. Aiden stood behind her and massaged her shoulders for a while. Ana immediately felt relaxed. Aiden's phone buzzed with a message and he stopped massaging Ana's sh
