The fermentation tank accident had increased their ranks even further. Allen had directly sent the given data to the Mr. Steven(now he had a personal contact number of his), the things that were to be followed were a bit too complicated for the group at the current stage(even with A.I. helping).

Anyways, that was in the past. Most important was that the four of them started to fight more and work less in the past few...hours, on the matter of naming their team(strange to have their name known as unknown or noname).

"Alright, we will not be able to make a decision even if we argue till dawn. So why don't we do it like this.Luke's suggestion this time was the main reason for our task's success. Why don't we let Luke have a final name.On which we will all agree even if we like it or not.

It might seem fair at first glance, but the truth was that there was a very big scheme hidden in it.Allen and Yushin vs Tim and Luke were combinations 90% of the time when names were put forward. What did it signify?it meant that the preference of Tim and Luke was about the same among their group. So even if the name decided by Luke was not likable by him,at least it would not torture his ears.

As expected, the moment Tim said it,the expressions of Yushin and Allen became strange. They seemed reluctant to accept it but could not disagree with the logic.

Seeing his plan working Tim gave a final push"So Luke does not even deserve this for his carefully thought plan and hard work?"

This became the final straw that crushed the camel's back. They both accepted it unwillingly with expressions that said that they were suffering.

The person in question did not oppose this and supported the logic by staying silent. If he got to name the team all by himself, that would be for the best.

"Good,Luke decided a name".Tim gazed at Luke expectantly. While the other two oozed air like they had lost a long fought battle.

"Thank you for giving me this chance. But i don't want to be completely selfless when deciding the name.I want all of us to truly like the name.So i name this team..."Luke paused a little like he was contemplating something.

Luke continued when the tension reached a breaking point"Evil Geniuses".

There was only silence in response to these words. However there were a variety of different expressions.

After winning one over Yushin and Allen,Tim's face that beamed with the light of almost certain victory now became a little crestfallen.

And the opposition's face bloomed like they had won a lost battle.

"But..."Tim wanted to say something.

Allen wanted to reply but Yushin beat him to that"Now now, don't be a sore loser. You were the one who had suggested Luke's decision was final."

If someone observed Tim's facial expression right now,he might think that Tim had constipation.

Yushin was out-rightly rubbing salt on wounds.

Yushin and Allen were both game fans. While Luke and Tim were not despite how they behaved.Neither Luke nor Tim liked games that much.So that was the reason for their same thinking.

Yushin and Allen would suggest gamish names. While Luke and Tim would suggest names that would have no relationship to games. So there was no united decision before.

Tim asked"Why?"

Luke replied with a smile"I played a game with a family member of mine before, she and I liked it so i thought i would choose this".

Tim said"Tch,I overestimated you".Though Tim was not very satisfied by the name,it was within his acceptable range.

"Okay, don't be like that now.Our previous research is incomplete, should we continue it now.We don't have anything else to do now anyways."Luke said still not letting Allen talk.He tried to show his appreciation and support for the team name by doing this. And when he mentioned the part about their research his voice had a clear tint of pride infused in it.

Allen and the party were very proud of their work. The institution had also waived them from their monthly task. They were free to do anything except leaving the institution.

This was not really a special privilege granted to just them. But something every 2nd division researcher would have.

The group of Evil Geniuses didn't start a new research right away, but took a vacation. The institute's site had almost everything on its site.If the products were not their own, they would be of their partners in business.

The things that you could not get from the site would be mithril,Excalibur etc.

The quartet could not afford most of those things before due to insufficient credits. But now each one of them had thousands of credits in their own treasure vault. And more than 10000 group credits. If there was any great achievement because of their research in the future, they would also get some credits. It was like a patent.

Coupling it with their monthly allowance of hundreds of credits they did not need to worry about insufficient funds in the near future.

First of all they used a few thousands to buy the newest technology for the research area so that they would not need to mind even if they emptied their pockets.

The next few days, they ate the finest food paired with finest beverages, wore the finest clothes and enjoyed the best entertainment institute could offer.

There was even a casino. It was not official and was a small scale business(the four avoided it like a plague). The quartet had not even spent a hundred credits in total when all places in Excel institute which could provide entertainment to people were visited by them. They did not have many things they liked in the first place and on top of that they could not even play online games for various reasons.

Previously they had no money so they couldn't spend it.Now they had money, but they still couldn't spend it.Very sad reality.

After they had all the limited fun the institute could provide, they were left bored. So they had no other choice left other than to go to their research area.Maybe they would start a new research or play cards.Even just sitting idle for more than a hour would derive them insane. It was not about patience but about their mentality. They could wait for research results for 10 years but sitting still for a few hours doing nothing was a torture.

They played different games, but something always seemed to be missing. They tried a new task but their mind just couldn't focus properly. This all called for a new meeting.

"Any idea why this is happening?" one of them asked.

He received silence in response. So he also became silent.

Allen also wondered why this would happen. So he stated a thought that just popped into his mind"Maybe we have lost our real source of motivation. We have currency in our pockets, more glory awaiting for us,and are not urgently in need of anything else.

"I joined this institute so that i could make mine and my sister's life more carefree. And i will have quite a lot of money to do that. Why should i struggle for more?"The currency rate of credits to money was 1:1000.For one single credit, they could rent a small apartment in the city center for a month or feed a family of three lavishly for weeks(The only problem was there were no small apartments in the city center)

Tim said following him"I wanted to show my family members that i could live without their property"

Tim looked at Yushin.

Yushin said"I wanted to be accomplished in my life"

There was silence.Only silence.More silence. The others got impatient and stared at Luke.Their intentions were clear to see.But Luke still did not say anything.

Tim nudged him"Hey it's your turn".

"Huh,oh I just joined to make more friends and get over my timidity."

Tim looked at him exasperated"Why join this institute? You could join any other. There are not many interactions between researchers here"

Luke replied after contemplating a little"I think I might have forgotten the real reason.Maybe I just felt like I should join it.So I am wherever my heart is."

Amazing, just amazing. He didn't even know for sure whether he forgot the reason or not.He really is something else. The World "needs" more people like him.

Luke continued"So should we try to become one of the board of directors?"

Tim replied"If i could achieve that,it would be good. But i am fine even if i don't achieve that.So that doesn't work for me.But well, if i could become the president, all would be worth the struggle".He stared challengingly at the others. After all there were 20 board of directors but only a single President.

He had been successful in his attempt to raise their as well his own morale,at least for now.

There was a silence for a moment which was broken not by one of them.but by the sounds of message alert.

Tim said without moving his head"Luke i have told you many times to shut of your digital watch when we are discussing something"

Luke replied in confusion"But I remember shutting it down?"

Tim then noticed that there was not just one message alert that sounded but more.In normal mode when a message arrives there would be a voice and vibration to alert the host of watch about it.But if someone was a busy person, wouldn't he be annoyed to death by so many alerts? So there were multiple functions in the watch that were solution of this problem. One of them was if the message was from someone designated as important by the host and other was if the mini version A.I. determined it important according to the criteria given to it by the host.

There was only a single one that all four of them had designated as important. And that would be the institute.

Luke had already read the new message by the time Tim realized this fact.

Luke said after raising his head"Our credits have increased once more by thousands. We are invited again by the Head.It seems they have been successful by continuing our research"

The others were happy as it meant that they would continue to soar with the research.

The time to reach was 8:30 pm.Originally it was 9 pm but they were cordially invited earlier as guests of honor.Though it seemed more like a precaution to their past late visit.

"I want to head to the department for now so we will meet here again at 8 am."Allen said.

Tim and Yushin also went with him while Luke stayed there. He had nothing to do at the department for now.So he thought that he would just take a bath here. …

He was heading towards the bath when he saw their research work. They had separated some bacteria to do research on it.He took a look at it and saw it had some change in it.The two plasmids were enclosed as one entity. That was a welcome change.

He put it at the back of his mind and went to take a bath. After he had finished the bath,he returned to take a rest.He felt a little cold when he passed by the room in which the research work was present. He was confused about why the temperature plummeted so fast.

He checked the surroundings but everything was the same as when he left for a bath.Coincidentally his sight fell on the fermentation tank. He then remembered what had happened previously. So, he hurried to the tank. This time, after some observation, he did not start celebrating. But, instead called others for a discussion. This did not look good.

Allen and the party were leading a leisurely life right now, if they did not enjoy as much as they could then what was even the purpose of them joining here. Couldn't they just start a shop. They did not completely stop their work though. The real problem was that what the president had performed was not very achievable by them. They had tried to copy the same experiment in the same species of pig, but instead of flat, strong teeth his teeth had no observable effect( or maybe had grown weaker). They could not continue the research with their current tech(just pointless torturing of the animal) It seemed more advanced technology was used by top researchers of the institution.
