Isabella pov

I know I have to get up and take a shower before the twins wake up. I slowly rise from the bed and try not to make any noise when I get out of the room. When I finish the shower and got dressed I make my way to the kitchen where my nanny Anna already making breakfast.

”good morning Anna, ” I say to her when I step inside.

”good morning Bella, did the boys have another nightmare?”

”yeah Kian started screaming in the middle of the night and he woke Alex up. So both got to come along and sleep in my bed”

”what was it about this time?”

”he kept screaming there was a monster under his bed, ah when we speak of the little ones, whose little feet am I hearing? Kian, Alex come here and give me a hug!" Kian is the first to jump up in my lap and give me a hug, and Alex is right behind. When I have both boys in my arms I feel blessed.

”I wanna see the lion, ” he says

”ah, my sweet boys I can’t today. I have a big business meeting. But at the weekend, I will take you. If you want we can watch the lion movie tonight." I wish I could take a day off but there is too much to do right now.

”yay! Mommy, can we eat some popcorn too?”

”Today you have to promise me you be good and listen to your nanny, no fighting, no screaming and listen to what anna tells you. Can you promise me that?” I look at my boys and wait for their answer.

”yes mommy ”

”Good Alex”

”Can you promise me to Kian?”

”yes mommy”

”That’s my boys. Well, I have to go to work now, can I have a kiss? No? then I have to kiss you” My boys love this! I lean in and kiss Kian on the cheek and then I start tickling him. I love to hear their little laughter. Turning my head and doing the same to Alex.

”My sweet boys, mommy loves you. Be good now” putting the boys down and gesturing them to take a seat at the table.

”Now boys eat your breakfast ”

”Bella I have made you some breakfast, take the bag with you, and don’t forget to eat it.”

”Thank you, Anna! what would I do without you? Call me if there is anything”

”Yes Of course Bella, drive safe!”

When I leave and close the door I feel blessed to have my boys and Anna in my life. Anna Is in her fifties and has a little resemblance to my mother. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t found her as my nanny. Everything she has helped me with during these years, I couldn’t be without her.

When I drive to work I can’t stop thinking of my own family. It has been over five years since I saw them. My mom and dad, my grandpa. I never got the chance to say goodbye. Never got the chance to explain. I wish they could see me now, meet Kian and Alex.

I remember that day when I found out I was pregnant again like it was yesterday. I could not stop staring at the positive pregnancy test with mixed feelings. I was shocked, afraid of having to go through everything again. Completely alone. And scared. I knew that when the Anderssons would find out about the baby, they would take it away from me the day it was born and probably make me disappear or even kill me.

I could never let that happen.

My life had a purpose again, to my last breath I would protect my baby! I needed help to run and disappear without a trace.

I knew I couldn’t tell the real reason and no one could know about it. Except for my brother, I needed his help. The conversation is one of the hardest I’ve had.

”but Belle!” I saw the pain in his eyes from what I told him. Looking at my brother I see his defeat, he knows I am right. There is no way I would win in court if it comes to that. The Anderssons have everyone in the city around their fingers. I would lose even before I stepped into court. I have no other choice, but to run. No one can protect me and he knows that.

”Don’t brother, don’t say it. I have to do this and you know it too.” My brother closes the distance between us and wraps his arms around me. That hug! I will never forget it. He held me so tight, that I could feel his feelings.

We just stood there, in silence.
