When Tristan snapped back into focus, he went to his Luna,
"What the hell happened?" He asked.
"Your Wolf took over when you placed that Amulet around your neck. My Luna Chain was barely able to bring you back. What did you see?" She asked.
"A memory I thought I lost a long time ago. This amulet has brought me closer to finding my mate, my salvation. We need to go now." Tristan barked.
_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_The Day of the Council’s Gathering was clear, bright, and one for the history books. There were a lot of new wolves mixed with familiar ones. Omegas were to the back of the Court, while the Alphas, Betas, and Lunas were ushered into position for the procession.
“I’m grateful these Gatherings are 7 years apart.” Rex frowned.
“It’s not that bad, is it?” Makai joked.
“You haven’t been to a Gathering to welcome a new Royal Alpha, have you?” Rex asked.
“No, and I’ve been around for a while now, maybe I’ll meet my mate?” He clapped his hands together, looking around like a creeper.
“Stop that, I swear you’re never going to grow up.” Rex smacked his beta in the back of his head, walking off chuckling.
The howl went out, calling all wolves to the Grounds as the ceremony was about to begin. Everyone was looking to the balcony to get their first glance of the new Royal Alpha.
“Have fun, dear. Go make new friends.” Makai whispered in Rex’s ear. Rex just kicked him in the ass.
_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_After the first 2 packs had gone up to meet and lave their offerings, the atmosphere changed. There was far less talking, laughing, and cheering than before. Rex shook his head, making sure it wasn’t just him. No, it was progressively getting quieter.
Looking out amongst the crowd, realizing that smiles, and laughter were being replaced by gasps and fits of coughing as people dropped to their knees trying to catch their breath. That’s when he noticed the smoke that barely hovered off the ground.
Jo’s plan wasn't to hit the new Royal Alpha directly, intent on killing his Luna to force the new Alpha take a new one in the middle of the Council. In that instant he will have one of his Omegas slip in amongst the chaos to take the Luna's place by charming the new Alpha with her Omega skill.
A Rogue Male Omega is dangerous , but a Female Omega is deadly. They feel love for no one and nothing, their auras too powerful to be denied, they always get their way no matter the Wolf Spirit or Rank.
Unfortunately, the new Alpha has an 'unnatural' history that Jo hadn't discovered until the day of the attack.
Using Wolf Thought he called to his special Omega,**Jo**
"Aisha, come to me, I need to give you the last of your instructions for the Council." Feeling the familiar mental twinge that is unique to Jo ordering her to go to him.**Aisha**
"At once.”Rolling her eyes, getting to her feet she walk to the tent door, but stopped at the mirror on her vanity table, smoothing down her hair, electrified from the wolf thought connection, and headed to Jo’s room.
She knocked loudly on the door, not bothering to wait till he said to come in, Aisha stood quietly till he addressed her.
"Thank you for coming, 'Luna'. Jo smiled.
Bowing dramatically she replied,"Yes, Sir Alpha..." looking up at him with burning coal eyes.
"Aisha, you can be quite abrasive when you want to be. Your 'Wolf Thought' felt like sandpaper in my mind. Still sharpening you gifts I see?" Jo applauded his Omega.
Smiling at him she walked up to him and whispered in his ear,
"That new Royal won't know what hit him when he sees me. His Luna will be dead, his sorrow will cloud his judgment, giving me that one heartbeat to infiltrate his senses and make him mine." Aisha smiled wickedly.
"Good. I expect nothing less. You and your team shimmer at IN’s signal with Min. He will conceal both your auras and ranks until you reach the new Royal. Once you have eyes on the new alpha, link as many of us as you can before you shimmer." Jo said seriously.
"Yes, Sir Alpha. This will be a Council gathering NO Wolf should miss." Aisha said laughing as she waved over her back as she left.
_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_None knew that the smoke laced fog was only the beginning. Jo’s wolves had managed to slip past the guards, thanks to Chad’s order being that specific wolves were granted entry, no questions asked.
Min, Aisha, and Lee were getting into position to wait for the signal so IN could link all wolves to initiate the next stage.
“Remember that ‘something bad’ thing I mentioned earlier? It’s here.” Rex motioned to the upper balcony.
“Who the hell would attack a Council Gathering like this, so openly?” Makai asked.
“The focus of their attack is the new alpha.” Rex growled, phasing at the same time. Jumping from where he and Makai were, Rex’s wolf completely took over, leaving Makai to catch up.
“Wait, let me come with you!” Makai yelled.
“I hear you little wolf.” Rex’s wolf growled. As soon as the words entered Makai’s brain, something told him to be there, but away out of the way.
Seeing the scene from where he was, Makai was the only clear minded one, now that Rex’s wolf was off to the races.
**Makai**
“Boss! Don’t charge in so recklessly! Hold up, at least wait for me damn it!”**Rex**
“I hear you, young wolf. Let’s go then.”The two wolves were in view of the whole situation. One of Jo’s males Alphas was getting a little too comfortable with one of Tristan’s omegas. Rex got a clear view of the Alpha going after the Omega and stopped cold realizing the wolf he saw was a mirror image of Rex.
“What foolery is this?” Makai exclaimed.
“It’s a glamor. There’s not too many wolves that posess that ability. I can only think of one.” Rex growled and took off again.
“Damn it! Rex, you’re an idiot!” He said, going after him again.
Reaching the tier where the conflict started, Rex charged Tristan , but he was too late. A bright shimmer of silver and the offending wolves were gone, leaving Tristan’s Luna jumped in front of the blade that would have ended Tristan’s life, the person who killed his Luna was wearing Rex’s face!
Still running at the shimmer, Rex’s wolf instinctively held back, giving Makai a close encounter with his alpha’s ass. When Rex looked up, the Luna was dead, and Tristan was nowhere to be seen.
“A little warning next time?” Makai growled.
“Sorry. It was like my wolf didn’t want me to go near and touch that shimmer. It was the strangest feeling, my Wolf has never pulled me back before, so I listened to him.” Rex said.
“Who do you think took Tristan?” Makai asked.
“There a very few wolves with the glamor ability. I need to rectify this before the wolves really believe I was behind it. We need to get to the Council Chambers to discuss this. You need to get the other pack Alphas to the chamber and explain what we saw. Go now, Makai, gather the others.” Rex ordered.
_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_**IN**
“Jo, we achieved our directive. We are 100 miles out.”**Jo**
“Ecellent. Felix and Nik have already bugged out. See you soon.”Lee put up a hand, indicating they should stop. Looking into the distance, seeing a red aura coming at them,
**Aisha**
“Get a little closer!”**Jo**
“Got cha!”When Makai and Damien caught up to them, all they saw was a shimmer and red fire.
“What the hell just happened?” Makai asked Damien.
“Man, they have some serious skills. My scouts couldn’t see them until they were past us. We aren’t going to find them now, go back and talk with the Alphas that have arrived.” He said and sprinted off.
Rex, Kit and a few others were talking when Makai and Damien returned.
“What did you find out?” Rex asked Alpha voice shaking the wolves.
“Three Rogues from Jo’s pack took the Royal to their territory. That shimmer is how they travel.” Damien said.
“They belong to Jo, I saw one of the same wolves today that I saw in the leader of the raid before we left for the gathering.” Makai remembered.
“Damn it! What do I do with this?” Rex looked at the ground.
“We go after him, brother.” Kit walked up beside Rex and put his arm around his shoulders.
“You and me? We need more than that I’m afraid. This is Jo we are talking about. If you, Makai, Damien, and I go, we will be at a disadvantage.” Rex frowned.
“Is he serious, Kit? I should kick your ass to remind you of who I am?” Came a voice from behind him.
“Rixa! Forgive me.” Rex bowed out of respect eyes on the ground. Hearing the group of them laughing, Rex looked up, not amused, but smiled nonetheless.
“Your help will be needed. Makai and Damien were the last to see the wolves before a red smoke amplified the shimmer they transported with making it impossible to know where they went to. We have a basic direction, and Damien’s scouts to lead a search party.” Rex said.
“The Council would never risk one of their wolves to aid in our search, so who then?” Kit asked.
“We have the muscle and brains to do this on our own.” Makai said.
“True. Would the Council release us to do this? I’ll bet if we die out there, will we be heroes who died in the defense of the Council?” Rixa huffed.
“No, you are right, the fewer that know about our intentions the better. I don’t count on the other packs being too keen on disobeying the Council. We will likely be on our own.” Kit sighed.
“First, we go back to where they shimmered out at. It’s the vanishing point and the start of it all.” Rex ordered.
“We obviously can’t all leave at once, so I’ll be the last one out. I will give you the sign when to leave. Meet at the vanishing point.” Kit observed.
“Good idea. Don’t link unless necessary.” I’ll go now. See you on the filp side!" Rex walked off.
_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_--_Seeing all the wolves that have come to the meeting made Rex shiver as though there was something off about the number of wolves he didn't know, versus the ones he did know. Walking back to his cabin to get the box with the Blood Amulet in it. Makai looked up as Rex entered. "Rexxy! I thought you would be out sniffing all the wolves, looking for your mate?" he joked with his Alpha. "Makai, tread carefully, I may be your friend, but you know my situation. If I don't find my mate within the next few years, my Wolf's Spirit will fade and I will no longer exsist as a wolf." Rex looked down. "Hey, Rexy, I didn't mean to offend, only tease. I know you have been distracted by finding your mate, all of us know your struggles. We are behind you whatever your situation." Makai said lightly, using his childhood nickname. "Thank you, my friend. I just want to get meeting his highness," Rex said, rolling his eyes, "Out of the way so I can focus on finding that scent." Rex grabbed the gold box
"Aisha!" Jo thundered around their ‘Pack Shack’ looking for his little actress. Walking into the kitchen Aisha was at the table, sipping coffee. "Sir Alpha. Good morning." She smiled at him. "Was last night successful? Did you meet the Luna, get her scent?" Jo asked, looking like an eager puppy, all he needed now was the tail. "No. That other Sakura Alpha got in the way. I was almost spotted, but the new Royal's Luna is quite distracting. Her scent is strange. I don't think she's even a wolf." She replied, looking concerned. "How could that be? She could have been just hiding her scent and rank from you." He said looking into Aisha's eyes seriously. "If she's not a wolf, this job will be harder to accomplish. I don't know if even I can completely hide my Wolf Spirit in front of a Royal. We have to think of a contingency plan in case our original plan falls through. We might just have to kill the Luna and hope my charms will be enough for him to fall for me and our plan and leave
In the chaos of the Rouge's blitz attack, Rex’s lost sight of the upper tier where Tristan and his Luna were being led to the special seating for the Royal's introduction to the Council and court. All the different Alpha Lines, Alphas, betas, and Lunas stood in line to walk by them, paying them respect and placing an offering to welcome them into the Brotherhood of the Wolf. Rex noticed that there were very few omegas at this meeting. Unfortunately, his wolves were the last pack that would go pay tribute, so they saw and heard everything. First came the smoke, hissing through the court, the gas that hid itself in the smoke started knocking out the younger wolves and lower ranks. It was just enough time for the Rogues to get in close, grab Tristan, and blinked out without a trace of their auras. A flash of silver out of the corner of his eye drew his eyes up to see a slight shimmer in the air before they all disappeared into it, a sword sticking out of his Luna after she jumped in

**Aisha's Dream** "Are you OK, Alpha Tristan? Jo is a little rough, but he is a fair Alpha. Please allow me to be your comfort," Aisha smiled releasing her aura into the air, “Your strength, and your happiness in this time of great sorrow," She cooed and whispered putting her hands on his face, forcing him to meet her eyes. "You are never going to break my will. You little omega. I am of Royal blood. You're not wolf enough to fool my senses. My Luna is dead!" He hissed. My Wolf wants another, craves another. You will never be able to take the place of my mate." Tristan growled, Aisha's aura clearing the room, being overpowered by Royal aura. "STOP! Please? I didn't want to do this, all I want is to be free of Jo’s foolhardy plan to turn you into a Rogue, turn you against the Council, and overthrow the Council." she started. "Why? He has to know my Alpha's Spirit is too strong for him. There's nothing stronger than a Royal line." Tristan asked. "He has two Council members backing
Brody, Seungmin, Aisha, Felix, and IN were in the soldiers den waiting Jo to debrief them. The Rouges were loyal and followed Jo, but they were still rogues. They could think on their own, refuse his orders if they wished to die, and their wolves wanted nothing more than to snap the Astral Chains Jo had placed, forced even, around their necks to make them submit or be released from their human vessel. Until they find out the way to escape their chains, breaking them permanently, they were trapped there, having to do unspeakable things, bad things to sometimes innocent wolves. There will come a time when the Rogues would be truly free to make their own choice if they wanted a pack or not or if they wanted to become true Rogues, as long as they could remain peaceful with the Council and Packs. If they had the numbers, they might be able to overthrow Jo and his two treasonous Council allies. The plan would have to be perfectly laid out and sprung, or it would be a Civil War within the
"I know we have suffered greatly today. What started out as a joyous Gathering to welcome a new Royal Alpha to the Packs, instead, we lost both the Royal and his beautiful Luna in the space of a few seconds.” He paused dramatically, with fake concern. “We have 2 Council members, Lady Kitsune and Lady Jisoo, back at the Grounds, looking everywhere for a trace of the Rouges that attacked us, healing the injured, and burying the dead. I assume that since Alpha Rex has taken the initiative. He and his beta will be the ones in charge of putting a team together to go raid the Rogues and to find out if Tristan is still alive, and can be safely rescued. Is that a problem, Rex?" Sir Chad asked. "No, that's fine. I'll want the Alphas and betas from certain Packs with me as well. Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable on out mission." Rex replied. "Fine. There will be no limits. Take who you need and don't be afraid to come to the Council if you need anything. This takes priority.
Catching up with Kit and Makai, Rex shared with them the information given to him by Hoseok, both sat with shocked expressions. “Have you ever heard of a wolf melding with its human?” Rex asked. “Only once. A long time ago. So far back that I was a cub, his name was Taeyong. I never found out why he needed the meld. Since wolves didn’t care for their humans sides, they pushed them away, deep into the recesses of their mind.” Kit explained. “Sounds like a prison sentence. Wait, you mean any wolf could perform a Blood Oath?” Makai asked, confused, sitting on a fallen tree looking up at the other two. “Don’t get any bright ideas, Makai. For one, Vuk can’t grant any help from inside the Tome. Two, do you know of any ancient texts that still exist to grant you the knowledge to prepare the rituals, find the specific items, or 3, a Goddess willing to alter Vuk’s creation and leave her mark on Creation?” Rex asked his beta. “You know the whole process, you could do it again.” Makai said
After exchanging pleasantries, the 4 wolves, two from the Rogues, two from the council, made their way from Chad’s council quarters to the path to the Singularis stronghold so Jo and Brody could fetch their wolves under the “proper” supervision. “We could have done this ourselves.” Brody whispered to his brother, “It looks like they really want to be here today.” He rolled his eyes looking at Caius and Zoei. “Whatever, let’s just go. We need our wolves out and to get on with the second part of our plan.” Jo replied. “What are you two girlie talking about over there? Let’s get the show on the road please?” Caius laughed at the Rogues. “Thank you for your help. We would have been fine without Chad’s assistance.” Jo commented. “Yeah, it shows. That’s why you have captive wolves, and none of us have ever been held by the Royals, so this just proves you need a babysitter.“ Zoei sneered, walking ahead of them. Looking at Caius, Brody shrugged at him. “Is she always this fun to be arou
“You don’t honestly believe Chad is sending those two with us to help in any way, do you?” Brody asked his brother.“No. That’s why as soon as we get Hyunjin and Hikaru back, We will be good. I am done taking Chad’s orders. It seems like we always suffer and the Council comes out clean and unscathed. I’m sick of it.” Jo snapped. “Suddenly the Royal's definition if the Council is becoming clearer, huh brother?” Brody teased.“Baby brother, you’re a genius! When those two Council wolves come with we are going to let the Royals take care of them. We have wolves on the inside. Get a message to any of our wolves in there and tell them to inform to stop working against the Royals, and start working with them.” Jo smiled wickedly. “Are you sure about this? I have heard of wolves turning against Chad, and in return, he killed their entire pack. Do you think that we can get away with this?” Brody asked, eyebrows raised.“We have to play off of the hate they all have for each other, plant jus
A knock at the door confused the Royals, Kit sprang up and answered it. Shyfter was on the other side. “What do you want?” Kit growled. "Down, boy. I’m here to talk. There’s a situation brewing, and we need to get you all out of here now.” Shyfter shoved past Kit and into the room. “Yes, come in.” Kit sighed and shut the door. “What’s the situation?” Rex asked. “Kai and Anaki have crossed a line. They have brought your Council friends to shadow and attack tomorrow morning after we leave to guide you back to the border.” Shyfter sighed. “Why would he do that? I thought you and your brothers were going to keep him on a short leash?” Kit shouted. “The 3 of us will not be able to handle a Council attack while we are loaded down with that trunk Anatashi gave Tristan.” Rex said. “Your stuff is already back waiting for you, Moon zapped it there. Left a note for your friends, who are desperately in need of your assistance.” Shyfter laughed at their expressions. “What trouble? Is ever
That night there was no sleep for the Royals. They packed their gear, and met in the entrance, not wanting to keep their loved ones waiting….thinking that help was coming, but it wasn't to be. "You 3 can't leave. Anatashi has asked to speak with Tristan. Don't make your decision until after you have talked to her?” Moon asked, waiting for Tristan to go with him."Fine, let's go. I'll be back shortly." Tristan smiled at Rex.The walk to Anatashi's room was silent, awkward, and uncomfortable."Enter." She replied. "Thank you Moon. Get back to Kai and the others. I will call for you when we are finished." Anatashi said quietly."What is this about? First you couldn't tell us what was going on, now you're being honest with me? It doesn't make any sense, you’re not making sense." Tristan sighed."I promise you, after you hear what I have to tell you. Please, sit?" she asked.“You have never been the type to keep secrets." Tristan said."What I'm doing cannot be undone. I made a promise to
"OK, Hikaru. It's just you and me now. Tell me what is going on. Why did Jo send Hyunjin to come after you, or spy on us?" Skai asked."I have been trying to find the Royals for a while. It was chance meeting up with Hyunjin. He was sent by Jo to find you guys and lock all of you down, so Chad can come in and take Aisha. Is she safe?" Hikaru said."That's why the Royals are not here. They are looking for a way to save her. Do you know of a way to help?" Skai asked hopefully."I know the Nightshade side, but the Royal side, not so much. If I know Jo, and I am his sister, he will be sending reinforcements as soon as Hyunjin doesn't report back. Those cubs are more important to him than I am apparently." Hikaru looked down."How did you know Aisha?" Skai asked, more out of curiosity than concern at this point."Nightshade are few and far in-between, I know every existing Nightshade, that's how few of us are, actually left." Hikaru smiled sadly."Wow, I'm sorry. I never knew. I am young ye
"Why have you come back, Kai? I ordered you to stay with the others." Anatashi inquired."You backed the wrong 'horse', so to speak. The Quad is working with Anaki and I to ensure the Royals don't acquire the one thing that could save Aisha, your spirit. I will not stand by and watch you sacrifice yourself for a weak, unless bunch of wolves. You are mine, or have you forgotten?" Kai leaned over her."You forget your place, Kai. No male wolf can force me to submit. I don't even believe a female could do it either. Anatashi stood to her full height, almost 2 times bigger, with many more centuries of life, knowledge, and strength than the wolf who stood before her."You are everything to me, my light in the dark, my reason for living. Now you want to take that away from me, from us, to help a foolish omega that messed up and is getting what she deserves. Think of youself and your pack more than a bucnch of strangers!" Kai yelled at her."You cannot force my hand in this, Kai. You know me,
Loki, Caius, and Stryxx were 3 quarters away from the border between the Rogue's territory to the Old Ones. Chad had reminded them that time passes differently in the Old Lands due to a ever potent spell place by those who came before Anatashi and her motley pack of misfits."Do you believe this mole is as loyal to Chad as he says?" Stryxx, always, the thunder cloud over everyone's heads."I believe in Dove and his capabilities to sell just about any plan to even the smartest wolves. I guess he's really Chad's,vrother." Loki mentioned."Yes, but the males in Chad's family used to be allowed to develop on their own, but the emergence took too long as the wolves started forsaking their teachings and training became more lax. After learning from Chad, pushed Dove into using skills and abilities that he wasn't ready for." Caisu added."That explains it. Why would her sacrifice his brother’s sanity and wolf spirit to a complete a plan that's falling apart?" Stryxx asked."As long as Chad ha
"Now that you 3 know how it feels to meld your wolf and human, the next thing you must learn is to control the wolf WITH your human." Anatashi paused to look at all 3 Royals."That is the hard part. Your Wolf is wild, lawless, and vicious. Your human is the light side, the calm, voice of reason. If your human cannot tame and contain your wolf, you will be a loose cannon, and I will have to alter my plans in order to save you young omega and cubs." Anatashi looked at Kai right in the eyes."Plan B, which is?" Tristan asked, pulling her gaze to his."That is none of your concern. I know what needs to be done, and will happily do it for Aisha and your cubs. Now Anaki, Moon, Kurgi, and Shyfter will take you to take this final step. I am going to take a rest. I need my strength for what comes next." She smiled and left them to their training.Kai had slipped away while Anatashi was speaking to them, and Moon had his thoughts as to where he was going.*Moon*'I want to know where Kai's run o
"What happened out there? Moon, how could you let that get so out of hand? I'm not going to be here forever, and I expect you to lead the pack until Aisha takes over. That is why I need you to be smarter than that. Thank goodness we were able to get Kit back." Anatashi scolded Moon."Forgive me. I thought it would be easier to put pride against pride. Lesson learned, I won't be doing that again." he replied."I know you meant well, but the best of intentions can have the worst consequences. It's all apart of life, you will figure it out." she exhaled loudly."Just get some rest. You and your brothers have been through a lot. I will sit down with the Royals and get Kit back. He won't have enough strength to put up a fight. We can hadle it." She ordered."I've always wanted to witness the Singularis Curse up close, Kit, but never that close. What happened?" Tristan asked."I honestly don't know. I saw Rixa and something fractured and shattered in me. Like I'd never see her again after K
