"You cannot be serious," Rebecca managed to mutter, as she bit her lips next. She could not tell if it was the intoxication or if he truly made her thoughts wild.

"I want to show you the definition of a desirable man," Edward said, letting go of her toe as he stood up, his eyes clouded with hunger. There was a craving to nip every corner of her body when he maintained his gaze on her.

Rebecca opened her eyes slowly and was dazzled by the sight as Edward tugged his hand under his white t-shirt and removed it from his body in one pull, displaying his broad, muscular chest. The tattoo of a pair of horns was an eye-catcher. Her eyes trailed all over his chest before it moved up to her eyes. His smirk at the corner of his lips stretched further.

Rebecca swallowed her nervousness, the previous arrogance falling apart as she found herself stuck in the charm of Edward Harrington.

"I don't think you should be here. Besides, the mistake that once happened, I don’t want it to be repeated,"

★★★★★ A shadow entered Edward’s room, very careful with the steps as it made its way to the drawer, a particular one next to the bed. There was a gun in that drawer and the person was sneaking into Edward's room just to get the gun. It seemed the person knew every detail in that room. Silently, the shadow replaced the gun with a replica, before making its way out of the room. On the other hand, back in the room, Rebecca was lying on the bed exhausted as Edward had his face resting next to her pillow; his breathing was even. She stared at the ceiling for a long time before her gaze fell next to her, on Edward, as his words buzzed in her head. He said, 'I did not kiss Veronica. She deliberately made it happen for you to see. I have never touched her.' Though she had no reason to believe his words, at that point, the truth his eyes reflected while he was saying that, she could not overlook. 'Why did he care to explain to me? I did not ask for it,' her brows drawn together in confus

★★★★"What I am wearing?" Rebecca questioned back, her tone no less than teasing. Her eyes sexily moved from his eyes to his lips, "I love the way you look at me." As she bit the corner of her lower lip.Seeing that, Edward rolled his eyes and let go of her hand, knowing well what she was attempting to do."Men are working in the house. You are well aware that you are not invisible. Go to your room and wear something underneath it," Edward said with a soft tone, not a drop of irritation reflected in his voice. Veronica, standing not a little far from them, picked up this small action instantly. She could hardly remember him being so gentle toward her. 'Huh! Let go of being gentle, he didn't even care what she wore.'"Is this turned you on? Like... last?" Rebecca paused and gave him a wink. At the same time, her incomplete sentence left Veronica's thoughts berserk, and she moved forward and had her eyes on Edward before they shifted back to Rebecca. "What last?" She asked, "Did somethi

★★★★★ Rebecca pushed the chair behind and was about to leave after successfully stirring commotion between love birds, but also, the realization came that love had never existed between them. Before she could step out of the table, Edward grabbed her wrist under the table, and her heart beat with a thump. "You are making me leave because of her. Didn't you hate her?" Veronica shouted, as she drew close to the breakfast table, her fists clenched to the sides. The betrayal caused her tears to pour out unconditionally. "You left me no choice. What did you do in the office? It was unforgivable, but I let you off the hook. Your cleverness reached to the point that you did not think twice before threatening me. Now this! You are becoming irrational which means your sensible thoughts won't work properly," said Edward, his tone sharp and cold. ★★★★★ "What's with the punishment, I don’t understand?" Rebecca questioned with trembled voice. His touches on the curve of her body caused her intake of breath. Her breath hitched sharply, a soft gasp escaping as her cheek rested against the cold, unyielding surface of the wooden cupboard door. The pressure of his body against hers was firm, unrelenting, and undeniably intoxicating. Although she told him to move away, that was not what she wanted. "You want me to speak about it," he said; the allure in his voice caused her knees to tremble, making her want to stretch this little longer. She whispered, "I would like to get the knowledge of what you are talking about." "You are quite cunning!" Edward muttered a smirk on the corner of his lips rising as his one hand moved over to her buttocks. Rebecca's spine stiffened. "The door is opened, Ed," the difficulty in uttering a word annoyed Rebecca. No wish was helping her thoughts not to drift away. Suddenly, she felt his tongue touch

★★★★★Imara watched Rebecca carefully, expecting a reaction that never came. But rather than press further, she simply smiled and added, “You know, he and my dad used to talk about you quite a bit.”Rebecca’s expression remained unreadable, as though the mention of Edward stirred no emotions at all. Instead, she said, “I have a friend coming over for a casual dinner tonight. Why don’t you join us? Unless, of course, you’d rather avoid strangers.” Her tone was light, her demeanour calm as if Edward’s name had long ceased to hold any significance in her life."I would love to... And she tossed the car key in her purse, adding, "Mr Pete, please sit. You don't have to worry that much." Reluctantly, Pete placed the flower down on the table and moved over to his seat. His caring eyes did not leave Rebecca's face. "Here, drink this!" Peter offered the glass of water to Rebecca, believing she was a little nervous and that was why she was feeling things that she could not explain. "No, I am fine, Mr.Pete," Rebecca said, looking back at the car key, pondering what was wrong with the car key or if it was just her hallucinations. But standing at present, he could tell the torture was happening not around her but rather upon him."You know well what you exactly want, Boss," Trevor said with a calm tone as a sigh left his mouth. He had been noticing Edward for a while and noted every minor indication. Edward did not turn around right away, but asked, "You can see that too.""For a while! His hands clenched at his sides, itching to lash out, but his curiosity for the flaw in his grand plan kept him rooted.Edward stepped slightly to the side, positioning Rebecca protectively beside him. His gaze bore into Connor with quiet intensity. "Your mistake?" he began, voice steady and deliberate. "It started the moment Grandfather insisted I give you an equal opportunity in the business. When I allowed you to take charge of the projects I owned, you thought you had won."Connor scoffed, though unease flickered in his eyes. "Then why did you let me control everything, even the Blue Heaven properties?"Edward's lips curved into a sharp, humourless smile. "Control? You own nothing, Connor. The papers you collected—stolen, actually—are all fakes. I orchestrated every move, letting you believe your schemes were succeeding. Why? Because I knew you had Grandfather imprisoned on that island.

Your relationship was a mistake from the beginning."Her words hung in the air, sharp as a blade.
