Jessica walked in looking at Clara suspiciously. Clara turned her attention to the TV as she ate her food. Jessica joined them at the table and tasted the food Clara had prepared, "Hmm, tasty, you cooked this?" "Yeah, you like it?" Clara replied with a smile."Yeah, it is nice," Jessica praised getting up from her seat and walking towards the bar. Grace got up and cleared her empty plate and that of Clara's and exited the dining room towards the kitchen. Jessica poured herself a glass of wine. "So, when do you plan on starting the adult class?" Jessica asked with her back facing Clara."I will be checking online for schools around and what the cost would be then I can start," Clara replied.Jessica turned to face Clara holding a glass of wine in her right hand."How do you plan on doing that, borrow my phone or you would be going to the cafe?" Jessica questioned with a curious expression. "Oh, I got myself a phone at the market today. That is what I plan to use for that purpose,"
Ragnor carried her in his arms and walked down the street back to the apartment. Meanwhile, Jessica was on the other side of the street trying to find Clara. Ragnor arrived at the apartment with Clara in his arms. The servant opened the door for them. "Do you want to get down or prefer I carry you around as my punishment?" Ragnor asked with a smile once inside the house. Grace was instantly surprised by the caring man before her now recalling his terrifying aura from earlier. She also understands where some of Clara's baby behaviour is coming from. This man pampers her a lot. "This is love," Grace thought still frozen in her spot admiring the two. "Please put me down," Clara said in a dull voice and Ragnor obliged. Clara moved towards the living room, with Ragnor right behind her. Grace went back to the kitchen to give them privacy. "Can we talk?" Ragnor asked in a gentle voice. Clara nodded and led him to her room where they could talk more privately. Once in the room Clar
"Yes, I will get the tickets and we can leave tonight," Ragnor informed Clara, and she nodded. Ragnor was happy to see her looking better now. Ragnor called the airport and purchased two tickets to Matara. Their flight was scheduled for 11 p.m., leaving them with just forty-five minutes to get ready and be at the airport. Clara quickly took a shower and changed into a straight dress. Ragnor helped her tie her hair in a bun and they both left the house saying goodbye with just thirty minutes to get to the airport. "Where is Jessica?" Clara asked on her way out."She stepped out, ma'am," Grace replied entering the living room as Ragnor and Clara also entered the living room from the top."Don't worry we will call her when we get to Matara," Ragnor said wrapping his arms around Clara's waist and ushering her out. He was glad she appeared to have forgotten everything he said earlier. They arrived at the airport and were the last to check in before they closed the gate. Ragnor bought
"These people could be vampires," the man said Jessica tensed up and turned off the TV, hearing that. "I told you I hate murder stories," Jessica yelled at Grace, threw the remote to the table and left the dining area leaving Grace confused. Grace shrugged her shoulders and went back to the kitchen. She wished Clara was around. It had been just 48 hours since Clara left, and she already missed her. Grace sighed and continued with her duties.Back in Matara, Clara had just woken up. She will be meeting her teacher today. It felt so exciting. She quickly went downstairs to find Ragnor, Emily and George. "Good morning everyone," Clara greeted cheerfully and Ragnor went to meet her halfway down the stairs and greeted her with a kiss."Good morning my love," Ragnor said after the kiss."Good morning," came George and Emily's voices. Emily was glued to the TV as usual, and George was glancing through a newspaper after their greeting."Breakfast is ready," came the servant's voice."Impe
"Sure, dear, get some rest," Siku's mother replied smiling and exited the room. In Matara, Clara was doing very well with her learning. "Okay, let me read you all a story," Clara announced with a smile."Oh dear, I feel like a child," Emily complained.George and Ragnor both turned to look at Emily."But how old are you?" Ragnor asked "Brother, in a perfect world you will be my son," Emily said with a grin.Ragnor turned to his father with a questioning look, "Dad, did her head hit the floor when she was born?" George looked at Emily who was still grinning with her chubby face. He turned to look at Ragnor who seemed to have no expression on his face, and at Clara who couldn't stop laughing and sighed. "Ragnor, I am not sure, my eyes were closed throughout her birth session," George replied "I think, I know what the problem is," Ragnor said sounding resolute, "Babe, let's hear your story," he said to Clara with a smile.Emily looked at Ragnor, "Hey, how come you don't look at me w
Ragnor was a light sleeper, but he completely trusted Clara so was never bothered about what she did or didn't do while he slept.Clara, seeing Ragnor's eyes were closed, took the medicine she kept under her pillow and opened it. Ragnor frowned, getting the strange feeling again. Clara squeezed the bottle too hard causing the nozzle which was not well closed to open pouring the entire content on Ragnor's face. Ragnor opened his eyes immediately and the liquid went into his eyes. "Clara, what was..." but before Ragnor could complete his statement, he realized his vision had become weird. He got out of bed and told Clara to stay in the room and he walked out. Ragnor felt there was something in the liquid Clara poured on him. He knew someone was up to something and had deceived Clara. He could not tell what the content of the bottle was but whatever it was couldn't be good. He was more concerned about Clara and had left the room to protect her, not sure how he would react to whatever w
"How did Ragnor get it?" Peter thought as he stared at the glowing ring on Clara's finger.Clara moved slightly and Peter covered her with the sheets making sure she was warm. He was hoping she would open her eyes by sunrise. Peter sat on the only chair he had in his room hanging his left leg over the armrest of the chair. He closed his eyes to rest for a while. In the human Civilization City, the humans were unaware of what had happened in the palace. They wondered what was happening to the weather. The rain shower had stopped but the rumbling thunder was occasionally heard. The soul of Ragnor was still wandering around searching for Clara. He remembered the place he had found Clara when she got lost in the Immortal City. He headed towards that house in search of her. Gradually news of what was going on reached the humans. Alberta, the caretaker of the guest house where Clara had lodged on her first visit to the Immortal City, quickly headed for the palace. Upon arriving, she realizes the palace
