Chapter 289 Three Questions, Three Silences

Looking at Hope's retreating figure, Maia smiled happily for her.

After Hope entered her room, Maia gradually withdrew her gaze, and her smile began to fade. She looked out at the sea, opened the sliding glass door, and stepped onto the balcony. The sea breeze gently brushed against her, but it could not soothe her complex emotions.

She stood on the balcony for an unknown amount of time, sighed softly, and turned around to go inside. However, just as she turned around, she and Cedric, standing on the neighboring balcony, once again met eyes, locking gazes in an instant.

The interplay of their eyes seemed to create a spark. Maia had not expected him to choose a regular suite, let alone one right next to hers. But considering this was his island and his resort, he could stay wherever he wanted.
