"It doesn't matter how I found out, Irene." Papa still has a bad way of looking at me. "Could you please answer my question? Why did you buy your Aunt Gretchen's salon? You have no any backgrounds of running a salon... so why?"

With him, interrogating me like that makes me feel so frustrated. I want to answer Papa but if I do that, I will end up being swayed by my emotions... I might not be able to put a filter on my mouth which might lead my words disrespecting him.

"She must be grateful to me that I do that, yet," I pointed out. "Because I bought her salon, she paid off the debt. She actually gained benefits because I purchased her salon. What's wrong with that?"

"But you know that's important to your Aunt Gretchen, right? You can just lend her money. What's the use of purchasing it? Can you use it-"
