Chapter 393

Natalie trembled as she approached the car. She could feel the chill deep within her bones.

Inside the warm car, Joshua sat without much expression on his face.

The driver held the steering wheel tightly while stealing glances at the woman in the rearview mirror. Aware of her association with Joshua, he hesitated to drive too fast.

As Natalie trailed behind, winter's biting cold seemed to freeze her blood, chilling her to the core.

Joshua was lost in thought inside the car, his brows furrowing as he pondered. He wasn't paying much attention to the vehicle's speed.

Suddenly, he noticed something awry outside. A hint of impatience flickered across his face.

"Why are we going so slowly?" he asked.

Upon hearing Joshua's remark, the driver dared not argue and immediately stepped on the gas.

However, before the car could gain momentum, Joshua appeared to have a change of heart. He gestured for the driver to stop.

The driver was puzzled by Joshua's sudden change of instructions.
